10/10/2016 14:08 | This is so monotonous. The dead man walking will be anyone shorting Nanoco after the presentation tomorrow. I have been critical of Nanoco management in the past, but I now believe that they finally have it together. I suspect that we will learn tomorrow that Nanoco have entered 24 hour production. Go ahead, deadfriendofSslipper | mwwh
10/10/2016 14:04 | Looking good | trt
10/10/2016 12:50 | mroz I have made a fortune here in the past all the way from the highs. My current short about even steven. But I will tell you my strategy here and now so you all know in advance. I am going to reload as soon as ME gives it his best shot tomorrow. Because as I see it,this thing is a dead man walking. | friendofslippery
10/10/2016 12:43 | SSW : Your short closed or still running ? | mr.oz
10/10/2016 12:08 | There is no hint in volume, chart, share price or short covering either today or in the last month that is hinting at any kind of significant positive tomorrow. That is not to say we will not hear encouraging prospects ahead. I just don't expect immediate stimulus. Happy to be pleasantly surprised though. | onething
10/10/2016 12:08 | Slippy But weren't you predicting an avalanche of bull and hype to rev up share price ahead of a later rights issue. On that basis should be very positive tomorrow? | bagpuss67
10/10/2016 12:02 | Slippy I see your using that famous losing quote of yours,Lemmings..LOL | syd777
10/10/2016 11:58 | You will all be running for cover tomorrow when you see once again I am right. Deluded lemmings committing financial suicide. | friendofslippery

09/10/2016 16:32 | Kuss1 great insight having been catching up on posts, really are great sources of info. Slippy there must be a short only board for you to post on ? On a serious note it's good having a balance. It's all to play for, normally I would have sold out and banked profits but something tells me to stay on for long haul, either way it's going to be interesting times although a sub 50 will test me (let's hope we don't see that again) | firminator1
09/10/2016 14:18 | Been posting on the discuss the market thread for ages ..... Last 10 posts with no discussion, so I thought I'd come over here for a chat ... | kuss1
09/10/2016 13:59 | Kuss1 I'm taking a guess here but you could be our legend Mapacho in disguise ;) | syd777
09/10/2016 12:48 | Kuss1 I think your right it could be now with the mass shipments from WH as their Q2 results was on July 29 2016 reported on Bloomberg.Q3 must of ended 30th Sep 2016.Merck license fee to come and WH royalties,LG taking full supply from DOW,any more deals, plus OSRAM update could see the share price at 2.00 by CES 17! | syd777
09/10/2016 12:47 | Yes, syd777, that recent announcement from Wah Hong very exciting. ME did say production would begin later this year. Don't know why everyone is hopping out and then back in with Nano. All you do is give the market your dosh. Friday's drop was a good example. All Nano did was to clarify the recognition of payments from Wah Hong on the balance sheet. That 7 year contract with WH contained a contractual obligation over the 7 year period. It was different to other licensing agreements as with Dow and Merck. I was quite pleased to see the size of the WH agreement 1.2 million upfront. I expect the payment from Merck to be much more substantial. It was also good for Nano to clear up grant income from other revenue. Those upfront fees make it less likely that we'll see a placing this side of Xmas. Lots of time for good news to filter through. Will be exciting to see LG's new Qdot TV's at CES. By then I would expect to see Nano's share price at over £1 Looking forward to the results on Tuesday. The financials are not that important. It's the progress Nano are making that is. I'm also hoping the osram agreement isn't extended. Bout time they moved to production after years of joint development. You'll see those selling on Friday buying back soon enough. The sheep turning with the herd..... | kuss1
09/10/2016 11:37 | Maybe mapocho should not have stopped posting on 5th Sept - it's all his fault.... | birotop
09/10/2016 11:35 | Howl Efun tech are not CF with their QDEF and most is for outside use in TABs,could Merck and WH be aware of an upcoming full ban with the RoHS? | syd777
09/10/2016 11:22 | Kuss1 good news as expected from WH,I also noticed Samsung has been advised to split up its different departments to get the best for its share price on the DOW industrials index, and while medical trials are 3 years away in some parts of the world it could only be 6 months away with the science division at Samsung.CFQD will play a great part, but who's is the best? The OSRAM/Nanoco joint venture for RND has been on the offing for many years and are they about to sign another JV or is OSRAM ready to start production? | syd777
09/10/2016 11:16 | Anybody any thoughts on efun Tech - can't work out if they are really a competitor? Their qdef is Indium Tin oxide based which I believe has been used for years for touch screens - my thoughts are that this has been tweaked to offer improved brightness and colour gamut but that this is limited and would not be applicable in the case of TV? More an enhancement for tablets to improve visibility? | howl01
09/10/2016 11:07 | I think you're closest to the mark kuss. The Wah Hong deal I feel sure was on the back of firm orders. LG have a running start in qd development although have fallen back but will catch up pretty quick with qdtv far outselling oled now. Samsung will look to secure capacity from Dow now I think - their decision to go with Hansol was strategic as Dow's advantage is economy of scale and supporting Dow at that time played into the competitor's hands. They'll now look to secure their own supplies. Even with increased operating costs, license payments, royalties, sampling and supply out of runcorn will support the balance sheet. I don't see the board as acting irresponsibily and making any wild claims, quite the opposite in fact and it's to their credit. If slippy has inside information I would eat my hat if I had one - if you are in such a privileged situation there is far more advantage in keeping quiet and allow us to 'ramp' as he says. | howl01 |
