Last month quantum dot supplier Nanosys filed with the US Commissioner for Trademarks for a trademark on the name “QDOG”. The filing information gives no detail about Nanosys’ intended use of the trademark or any other information about its intended meaning, but lists Nanosys’ Director of Marketing Jeff Yurek as the Signatory. While it’s amusing to think that QDOG is Nanosys’ new mascot (like the RCA dog Nipper) or Mr. Yurek’s gangsta rapper name, DSCC believes that QDOG stands for Quantum Dot On Glass, which may be the next best thing in the TV world.

Samsung intends in 2019 to begin production of TVs with the updated technology of quantum dots. This is reported by DigiTimes. The technology was called QDoG – QD on Glass. It will make the device screens thinner, as well as improve the competitiveness of top-end TVs.

In addition, the new technology will allow Samsung to establish production of QLED-panels in the 8K format.

It is assumed that the partners of the Korean giant with the release of new TVs will perform Asashi Glass and Corning. Currently, the production of a film with quantum dots is handled by Hansol Chemical. Before moving to a new technology, production will move to Korean companies MNtech and Glotec.

Jfac there’s a huge gap on the daily chart but looking at the weekly there’s no gap created on that share price surge. At least when looking at stockcharts..

Boris, thought weekly, looking the simple 3 month advfn chart around Feb time. similar gap to the one 10 weeks ago. not too au fait on these things though, just going by your posts, and observations. hope I'm wrong!

bagpuss, double bounce on keyboard, thanks for correction.
it really is scandalous, at least they should have been options
only when the share price reached a threashold much higher than the
present price.

Boris, you refer to that Gap of 10 weeks ago.What about the one of about 18 weeks ago?Is the nano share price destined for low 20s (despite recent announcements)?
