I’m looking back and asking myself if I could have seen this coming or something.

How is any investor to have known this was lurking behind the scenes. This is just crazy- this can’t be anything other than a total failure to run the business properly from a tax point of view. But who could know this was an issue

Have you considered that the probable alternative to 'slipping out' was the company liquidating?
Same outcome for shareholders.
Do any of you understand how businesses work? They needed capital so were holding a placing (read the H1 statement). They postponed the placing because of the VAT problem. This problem wasn't resolved so they ran out of money.
Is that difficult to grasp?
I lost more money than I should have put in, and I'm really annoyed, but this needs to be looked at rationally and not emotionally.

This is ridiculous - how the hell can these guys get away with this by slipping out into a new company

Such incompetence is just criminal

Nothing can be done but it’s scandalous that these people can continue to be directors

Listen the old pi deserves everything he/she gets if they gamble huge sums on a penny punt

No use moaning and threatening just accept you have lost and move on

Go to the building society or post office if you want guaranteed returns

And the RNS states "Across its businesses, Mporium has billed revenues in excess of £1.0 million for each of the past two weeks. For comparison, H1 2018 revenues totalled £1.2 million"

You mean that was supposed to be: "We are delighted that the Agreement has achieved such strong support from our Shareholders. This is a transformational deal for Mporium, and the benefits of this partnership are already visible in the increased revenues that we are billing. The growth of consumer regulation is a global phenomenon and this Agreement provides Mporium with a critical footprint in lead generation within the consumer regulation sector.

I urged the FCA and others to investigate in the summer after the price collapse to One penny
I suggest everyone does likewise now.
The Allay deal in particular must be scrutinised.

Afren CEO ended up in prison - largely down to the shareholder action group informing the FCA of his fraudulent behaviour. Let's hope MPM past and current directors didn't do anything similar or they will end up with the same fate. Some of the 2019 RNS announcements were misleading at best.

Moral of the story is trust nobody ever on forums and twitter.

Previous posts were starting the bleeding obvious
Don’t blame me because you gambled and lost

It happens all the time and I have also lost big deal

I don’t go crying it is my responsibility

It is private gambling plain and simple

Stock, I know this is easier said than done, but keep your chin up. You can hold your head high that you served everyone here incredibly well over recent times, and we're all really grateful. You're clearly a great guy. Fingers crossed for TRX and UOG for you. You deserve some good luck.

The best thing we can all do is submit a complaint to the FCA and hope that there's some recourse.
Not sure on your thoughts on the RNS being fake, but that's for the FCA to look in to I suppose.

My thoughts are that recent developments were genuine efforts by the BoD to keep something going after being screwed by the VAT issue.
