25/8/2020 08:07 | Closed off my recent trade this morning, luck to those holding. | essentialinvestor
20/8/2020 09:25 | Read through the transcript of the HI earnings call and there is a lot to like. Remains to be seen if economic growth takes another hit with coming job losses. There are mega secular trends for the sector (plastic substitution, e-commerce etc) which may be mitigating current cyclical weakness, at least to a degree. | essentialinvestor
20/8/2020 09:19 | I was hoping for less than 1450, but i guess i'll be disappointed. | thamestrader
20/8/2020 09:00 | A good opportunity to top up ! | fuji99
20/8/2020 08:47 | Had a few @ 14.56 | essentialinvestor
17/8/2020 20:20 | Well this is unexpected, thought it was cancelled! Thank you. | 10576190
17/8/2020 11:01 | Looking good... XD Thursday about 45p. June high 1595.5 target free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami
11/8/2020 15:57 | Appreciate the view. Economic activity slowed incredibly sharply over the last 3-5 months, much of the world is in a technical recession. So there is something greater at play here - mega structural trend of e-commerce, companies looking for sustainable packaging options and perhaps also the larger, more efficient sector companies taking market share. Thats my best guessestimate fwiw. | essentialinvestor
10/8/2020 15:11 | EssentialInvestor: I think one of the reasons is the greater consumption during the pandemic lock-down all over the world. Increase in consumption will result in demand for packaging. In addition, if the demand is high, margins will go up - Thus why they are highly profitable. This was flagged up by the likes of Amazon and most of on-line retailers (Asos, Bohoo ...). Whereas during a recession, people cannot spend if they have lost their job. Industries will in turn downsize as demand is lower. When demand for goods diminish everywhere, it directly hits packaging firms. I hope this has a bit of sens. | fuji99
09/8/2020 12:41 | I had expected the packaging sector to be hit for 6 during the next downturn, (as in 2008) but even with lower probability, the main sector players are remain highly profitable. Can anyone explain the difference between this and the last downturn in terms of why the sector is being hit far less hard? - at least so far. | essentialinvestor
06/8/2020 22:51 | Glad I topped up last Thursday. Seems my 'hunch' about the dividends was right but happened sooner than I expected. After all, I knew the suspension was only precautionary and fundamentals are solid enough. I view this stock as defensive income rather than growth but there could be some continued rerating near term. | cordwainer
06/8/2020 08:19 | So both the withheld and interim divi will be paidGood enough reason to buy in this am | scepticalinvestor
06/8/2020 07:27 | dividends, .... will be paid as interim dividends on Tuesday 29 September 2020 to those shareholders on the register of Mondi plc on Friday 21 August 2020. | thamestrader
06/8/2020 07:01 | The Board recognises the importance of dividends to shareholders. Having delivered a robust trading performance in the first half of the year and given our resilient business model and strong financial position, the Board has revisited the decision taken in April to suspend the final 2019 dividend and is pleased to resume the payment of dividends. The Board has declared a 2020 interim ordinary dividend of 19.00 euro cents per share. Both dividends, amounting to a total of 48.75 euro cents per share, will be paid as interim dividends in September 2020 (total of around €236 million). | enami
06/8/2020 06:52 | Great to see the divi. And resilient results under the circumstances. Salty | saltaire111
06/8/2020 06:51 | Better than expected results with particularly excellent news in restarting the dividend which is rare nowadays. Company has excellent cast flow and profit. Good company to have in any portfolio. | fuji99
03/8/2020 06:54 | Half-year results due Thursday 6th. | cordwainer
30/7/2020 17:14 | Dipped toe back in here on 2nd March with a badly timed scheduled order at 1582p, almost doubled down this afternoon at 1340p. A vain attempt to rescue the previous embarrassment. I have a hunch there's good odds on getting a dividend restored within a few months. Even global pandemics need packaging. I just hope they're offering the right types of packaging right now. | cordwainer
03/7/2020 09:31 | was that ? .. quite a big director buy the other day ..? favoured over DS Smith lately. www.petfoodindustry. | cordwainer
17/5/2020 21:02 | They cancel the dividend. (AGM 7 May 2020 resolution 4 withdrawn) Then 11 May 2020 the CEO is awarded 140,758 'bonus' shares. Is this not scandalous? | rotors
20/4/2020 13:06 | Tempted to buy..... but think I am losing my nerve up, down, sideways and POO is as I type $11 !! | redips2
09/4/2020 07:08 | Trading Update After due consideration, the Board has decided it is prudent to no longer propose a final dividend for the year ended 31 December 2019 at the forthcoming AGM. The Board recognises the importance of dividends to shareholders. While it is its intention to pay a dividend, the Board will consider the appropriateness, quantum and timing of an additional interim dividend payment relating to the financial year ended 31 December 2019 when it has a clearer view of the effects of COVID-19 on the business and outlook. | enami
02/4/2020 13:38 | Agree Enami. Seems like most companies are cancelling divi but shareholders still suffer the XD hit. It's a crazy market - so hard to read. Pretty sure evrything will recover but no idea how long. I'm pencilling in 2-3 years but am open minded as to the length this will take. No one has a clue really | sweep stock
02/4/2020 07:13 | Ex Dividend today... will it be paid?? It would be nice to have a company statement. | enami |
