Why Mndi did so badly compared to Skg? Business are almost same, but why market treat them so differently?

SKG appears to be significantly outperforming Mondi currently, however keep in mind that Mondi's Russian business accounted for over 20% of pre tax, closer to 25% from memory.

As Mndi and SKG often sell on a very similar forward multiples,
either Mondi needs to fall a some or the SKG share price rise further.

SKG up 27% now from year low; MNDI up. . . Wait for it - a WHOLE 13% LOL

I've just sold a few MNDI and a few more SKG this morning over 28.90.

Longer term a decent hold as most won't want the added faffing about selling
and buying.

Sector fall during the week on concerns around recession developing in some Eurozone countries, both MNDI and SKG with very large Europe exposure.

Justice, do MNDI even get to keep/extract the profits from the Russian business? I don't know how easy it is to move money in/out of Russia right now.

* they have a break clause if deal completion does not happen before a certain date.

It would not surprise me if Mondi end up walking away with little to nothing for the business, that's been my view since the original announcement, as previously posted.

At this stage the market just wants the uncertainty removed, any disposal proceeds are arguably secondary, particularly with the share price near current levels. The current share price level does not factor in some bumper pay day ahead.
