02/3/2018 11:02 | According to this site they are number eleven in the world | enami
02/3/2018 10:56 | Yes I do not take much notice of the method companies use to report their results. The main thing is whether they exceed the market expectations. The strange thin is that in October the expectations were low and the shares dropped a lot. "Oct 11, 2017 ... South African packaging and paper company Mondi said on Wednesday its full- year results would be slightly lower than analysts' expectations due to cost pressures and adverse currency moves. The company's Johannesburg-listed shares fell as much as 9% to a one-month low of R341.04." If they can pay such a large special dividend then they must be dong something right. maybe the change in South African politics is a boost as well. Remember that this is dual listed and half of the capitalisation is in South Africa. Always hoping that one of the REALLY BIG paper companies will step in and make a bid for the company. Last time I checked they were number ten or eleven in world ranking. I will investigate where they stand now. EDIT according to this site they are number eleven | enami
02/3/2018 09:33 | Enami, I took a brief look at the results , I admit I did not read down to find the reasons for quoting all the adjusted underlying figures , but I have to say I am getting tired of reading the same with companies everywhere. They have always favoured reporting EBITDA so I get that (I dont like it that much) But there is a long way between Underlying Operating Profit 1018 and Profit before Tax 887 It wearies me that so many companies try to deny their reported profitability - everything is exceptional these days even if it happens every year ! | fenners66

02/3/2018 07:31 | Results look very good to me on first read through. "Robust financial performance" Nice surprise to get a 100 cent special dividend. So 162 euro cents for the full year makes the return 8.8% at current share price • Recommended full year ordinary dividend of 62.0 euro cents per share, up 9% • In addition, recommended special dividend of 100.0 euro cents per share The final ordinary dividend and the special dividend are subject to the approval of the shareholders of Mondi Limited and Mondi plc at the respective Annual General Meetings scheduled for 16 May 2018 and if approved are payable on 25 May 2018 to shareholders on the register on 4 May 2018. Down quite a lot yesterday, maybe folks afraid of a repeat of the WPP reaction to results(WPP down 15% at the open yestarday) | enami
15/2/2018 12:16 | Looks like the previous chart was the end of Wave 1 of 5, the January/February market drop Wave 2. Well ahead today probably because of the Zuma resignation and buoyant South Africa stock market (This is dual listed in SA). Mondi Limited the SA listing plus 4.90% as I type (MND:JNB) Not sure if there will be a mini update before the results due 2 March. They have historically given an update about 10 market days before results. Upside target if results 2 March are good at 2232 free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami
19/1/2018 15:11 | Nicely ahead today and over the 200MA. Starting to close the big gap down. Short term target 2145 to match the previous ATH. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami
05/1/2018 08:41 | Baulking now at the bottom of the gap and just below the 200MA. I stick by my target 2243 for early March results (post 687) Below is the WEEKLY chart over the last 2 years. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami
27/12/2017 15:18 | Going well recently, in at 1905 hopefully to match the ATH 2145 in the runup to results 2 March. | enami

20/12/2017 08:56 | Good recovery this month after a 50% retracement of Wave 3 to complete Wave 4. Nown in Wave 1 of 5 now target 2243. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami
28/11/2017 15:51 | Safely off the bottom now and a possible Wave 5 start target 2280 This is the weekly chart. Back from oversold on the daily chart. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami
15/11/2017 14:59 | Still watching.... and heading towards 1700 . | redips2
31/10/2017 12:50 | Thank you very much Enami.... I will continue watching and waiting :) | redips2
31/10/2017 12:15 | Nothing worth mentioning really redips. 1507 is the 61.8% Fib retracement of the previous wave and would put it at the same level as this time last year. Unless the company put out some positive news then we will have to wait for the results in February to see what happens. WEEKLY CHART free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami

11/10/2017 12:35 | Yes I think you are right Enami....I will continue to watch.....thank you :) | redips2
11/10/2017 12:22 | Hi redips, impossible to say at the moment. A finish below 1900 would signal a much greater drop I think. With a yield of only 2.5% it may not be attractive for investors. The share price has doubled over the last 4 years and is up 16 times from the January 2008 low 118p so maybe folks will decide that is enough and sell out. Until they push out the final results in February it is not worth the risk to invest I think. | enami
11/10/2017 12:00 | Been on my watch list for ages......which direction are the charts showing Emani? Cheers . | redips2
11/10/2017 10:25 | Down 7+% on a poorly accepted trading statement. Actual figures looked quite good but future earnings in doubt. "continuing cost pressures and negative currency impacts are expected to result in an underlying performance for the year modestly below market expectations". SP down to the previous support level from ATH earlier this month. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | enami
