I haven't looked at this one for a while, I am not a holder but the chart looks attractive. results due 4 August but remember they usually put out an unscheduled trading update 8-9 days before that. So 25 or 26 July could push up further out of the long complicate flag which has been developing since march. Brexit brought the first break of the channel.

Target 1563 to close the two gaps of 3+8 Dec last year and 1.618 target 1692

Seems to be going side ways for a long time.

I noticed Smurfit Kappa now listed on the LSE and likely to enter FTSE100 at some time in the future. The Smurfit Kappa Group is Europe's leading corrugated packaging company and one of the leading paper-based packaging companies in the world. I think they have always been listed on the Irish Exchange and now dual listed.

Might be worth having a look at this beginning of July in the run-up to results 4 August if it breaks up out of this pennant.

Trading update seems well accepted and also leaked out judging by yesterday's big rise.

Have to agree the share price reaction today has been very muted. I would have expected a better rally, given the fall in share price with the general market. BWTFDIK

Why ,the shares then went up and down with the market not the news,divi was not expected rise as much,in sud africa the shares are trading much higher

This was all in the trading statement 9 days ago. If you expect any reaction today then you are sadly mistaken.

Underlying operating profits up 25% divi up25% but shares drop then come back slightly ,analysts give this a £16-£17 rating funny old game .

Dividend +24%

The Boards of Mondi Limited and Mondi plc have recommended a final dividend of 37.62 euro cents per share (2014: 28.77 euro cents per share), payable on 19 May 2016 to shareholders on the register on 22 April 2016. Together with the interim dividend of 14.38 euro cents per share, paid on 15 September 2015, this amounts to a total dividend for the year of 52.0 euro cents per share. In 2014, the total dividend for the year was 42.0 euro cents per share.

Is basic underlying earnings per share not in line with market forecasts? According to Stocko they were forecasting 131c and this is inline, or maybe slightly ahead.

Trading update shows :

basic earnings per share (euro cents) 121-126 (2014 97.4), increasing between 24% and 29%
basic headline earnings per share (euro cents) 121-126 (2014 99.5), increasing between 22% and 27%
basic underlying earnings per share (euro cents) 131 - 136 (2014 107.3), increasing between 22% and 27%

So I guess we can see the MMs knocking 10% off the share price

Maybe we will get a trading update tomorrow or Wedenesday.

Not on their Financial Calendar but they normally issue one the week before results due 25 Feb.

Hardly any volume in the market except for a bunch of hedge funds / IB's having a field day with shorts playing the fear game... and making a load of money in the bargain. This is the worst bear market for little real reason. BUy Buy as these guys will want to make money on the way up too

Back from oversold, maybe today's RNS seen as good news.

Mondi Group and Walki Group withdraw European Commission application and
terminate agreement

Following the announcement made on 22 May 2015 that Mondi Group (Mondi) agreed
to acquire two of Walki Group's (Walki) extrusion coatings plants located in
Finland and Poland, Mondi and Walki have been in discussions with the European
Commission about ways to alleviate concerns related to the impact on the
competitive environment. However, no workable solution suitable for all parties
has been found and therefore Walki and Mondi have decided to withdraw the
application to the Commission and terminate the acquisition agreement.

It went up by 10% and then dropped by 5%, and is still dropping. So I don't expect too much to happen to Mondi's share price

Rand up 5-6% should bode well for MONDI today market should rise with the shell deal getting final approval

They are listed in London and Johannesburg under a dual-listed company structure Mondi PLC in UK and Mondi Limited in South Africa.

Updated chart in previous post. 1272 intraday low as I type, not actually oversold at the moment.

Shorters seem to drag this down can't see any reason apart from that will try and find out ,I don't think it is currency movement (South African rand has Been hit) it is British registered company although DIVI paid in Europeans strange
