'The Music Alliance offers ‘a new solution’ to the major challenges faced by both the music industry and marketers, Mirriad explained. For artists, Mirriad has created a revenue generation platform that ‘reflects and respects’ the value of each artist’s work, it noted.

The alliance is intended to help artists sell brand integrations across their videos and content, ‘a potentially significant source of earnings’ for artists who create and own their content. Mirriad said the alliance will also offer a new route to marketers to engage their audiences.

Mirriad said the offering comes at ‘a particularly important moment for the music industry’. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic means the music sector must seek new ways to monetise output as revenues from live performance and merchandise sales come under pressure.

Martin Toher, co-president at B-Unique Records, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to work with the Oscar and Emmy winning Mirriad on something so innovative and groundbreaking. This clearly has initiated a new interest hence today's announcement.
