Greece Still Attractive for Tourism Investments Despite Covid-19, Say Experts

Greece remains an attractive option for investors seeking opportunities in tourism, despite the impact that the COVID-19 health crisis has had on the country’s travel industry.

Real estate experts agreed on Friday that Greece is considered a “safe tourism destination”, considering that is has managed to successfully handle the coronavirus pandemic. The country recently entered its first stage in easing a nationwide lockdown and is currently working on the second phase of measures that include the lift of travel restrictions and the opening of hotels.

Greece: “A Rare Coronavirus Success Story”

Greece’s response to the coronavirus pandemic was lauded in a report in the UK’s Financial Times on Friday.

The British paper says “Greece has so far been a rare coronavirus success story… With just over 2,744 confirmed cases and 152 deaths (159 by Friday morning), the country’s casualty toll from Covid-19 is dwarfed by that of its southern European peers.”

Yes Monday will be interesting. I was introduced to this company by waterloo and it currently is one of my smaller holdings. However, it is the sort of company and situation I really like where there is massive potential upside if developments proceed in a positive way. I am reassessing my portfolio balance this weekend so there is a high likliehood I will be increasing the MIN level in my portfolio on Monday!

An interesting Friday! Shortage of shares meant that eventually even a small buying interest had an affect, up it went (almost like someone irritated by a persistent wasp ), but not for long sellers appeared straight away and stopped proceedings in its tracks BUT interestingly there was someone then there hoovering up all the sells.

So the staus quo remains IMV, for Mondays buying...…...

The R number is bound to go up; it is just a question of how high. I strongly suspect we will be back in lockdown in about 3 -4 weeks!

I’m saying nothing on your MIN comment DC, basically as I don’t know what to think.

As for Lockdown yes you may be right having just heard they think the R number is slightly up this week. Trouble is there are too many complete idiots about who think that it none of it applies to them.

All in all a good week gents, because we started moving from the bell this morning I didn’t get any reaction to my post last night with the suspension and divi scenario. Any thoughts, comments or calls for me to be sectioned are welcome.
Have a good weekend and keep safe, I personally don’t think lockdown should have been relaxed yet and with the R rate already rising I hope we don’t have to take a backward step.

One for the weekend.

This is an interesting listen for an insight into market makers. I actually don't think this chap is either quite up to date or familiar with how the bottom end of the market maker market works, but answers some of those questions.
