Ex div is always Wednesday.. so if holding shares on Thursday you will get the divi. The register records it a few days later. Basically if you bought today no divi.

It's tomorrow, the reference to the 11th meant all holders as at close of trading today (i.e. the 11th). ;-)

Ah yes, of course. And on that front i notice that MCRO qualifies for only one Stocko screen atm, which is "Cash Accruals". I'd never noticed it before, but it might appeal to your experience in accountancy. (It's all pretty much Greek to me..)

"Cash Accruals is a quality investing strategy inspired by research into the 'accrual anomaly' by American accounting professor Richard Sloan. In company accounts, accruals are adjustments made when revenues have been booked but cash has not yet been received. This screen uses low levels of accruals as a positive quality signal. It looks for companies with a low accrual ratio, where free cash flow is higher than net income and where earnings-per-share is growing. Professor Sloan's research found that: "...firms with relatively high levels of accruals experience negative future abnormal stock returns that are concentrated around future earnings announcements." The research found that companies with small or negative accruals vastly outperform (+10%) those with large accruals. It concluded that investors focus too heavily on earnings and not on cash generation and that the share prices of companies with high accruals are more likely to reverse in future years."

Other shares in the screen include POLY, which i hold, and a few other immediate recognisables, such as PLUS, CWK and PFD.

I did buy around 540 actually PATT but have since added and currently sit at an average of 454p, so just in the blue. Of course the share price will likely drop with the dividend but I think once that’s gone it may dip further. Actually I’m hoping it does because I have money ready to add again. Gla.

Losses, you're all over the place with your comments ... it will inevitably decline, I'd rather buy ex-divi .. added at 467... !!

You're a bit like that other poster who said 'all markets are in decline' only to see the markets rally ...

Come on, at least be consistent.

Good :) - the slow thinking shorters would also need to pay ~£600K of dividends (from £26.5M or 1.69% shorted stock) to their lenders if not closed by tomorrow.

Very strange indeed. On these undervaluations I never know whether to ignore *Mr. Market*, or assume that He knows something we do not.

Rather like his good budddy, *Mr. Chart*.

warranty....very much doubt 400p but without news it will slip. Nature of the beast. If I remember correctly you bought in around 500p so just keep the faith and add if you feel like it to gain from dips. Reasonably soon we will have the Q1 trading update and then we should see some action (upwards). I added this week on the dip. Will do again if it drops further. Long term share for me (and that does not mean I am in the red!!)

I see this dropping back to the £4 level after ex dividend day, despite the positive outlook. Seems crazy really but a great opportunity for long termers to top up.
