In the USA many chicken carcasses are washed with chlorine or chlorinated antibacterial substances. These are the same substances, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) that we come into contact with in swimming pools and, in the case of CPC, in throat lozenges and mouthwashes such as Cepacol (Reckitt) and in many toothpastes.

The chlorine treatment has no effect on the taste of the chicken.

Would anyone on this board have wanted to work for Porky? Certainly not me. I had several obnoxious bosses. I told both of them what I thought of them in no uncertain terms and left. Set up on my own, didn’t do work for people I didn’t like, and retired early.

What did I miss. Someone please tell me.

Project Fear just keeps on coming, this time the same old stuff about chlorinated chickens from Minny.

But The Economist says:

Chlorinated poultry would make up 0.3% to 1% of the disinfection byproducts consumed in the typical daily diet. (Drinking water makes up 99%.) American chickens would also be far cheaper, which would greatly benefit consumers. Moreover, nobody would be obliged to buy chlorinated chickens. “Organic”; American chicken is not dressed in this way. All in all, chlorinated chicken is a paltry concern compared to what else will be on the negotiating table.

Perhaps he could use his “huge wealth” to sort the problem out. You know, set up his own private army to eliminate the drug dealers or give “ring fenced” money to the government for the purpose.

And where do a lot of the girls and drugs come from. Oh, the EU!!!

And of course, there is a huge problem of grooming and using young girls up north. Remember labour controlled Rotherham.
