03/2/2019 22:08 | Getting, no idea what happened in Antigua. Overpaid, no technique. England rugby, both men and women hammered the Irish. And ManU up to 5th. I think Man City will win the league!!! | brexitplus
03/2/2019 21:54 | Meanwhile, you’re not doing a little stirring by any chance, are you? | brexitplus
03/2/2019 21:09 | I used to work in London. I've seen enough. | minerve
03/2/2019 21:04 | Samuel Johnson famously said that "when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life". Don't do it Minny, you have so much to live for! | steeplejack
03/2/2019 18:53 | B+, I'm going to have to try it in the way you describe. It was just superb. What the hell happened in Antigua by the way?? Before the series began the consensus seemed to be that England would walk it against the Windies! | gettingrichslow
03/2/2019 18:41 | Just to let you know what you're missing, Minerve. From getting :- "B+, you would have enjoyed the meal I was lucky enough to have last night at a friend's birthday party in the private room of a well known London restaurant. Pork belly in a bed of bitter leaves and roasted sweet onions, with gratin dauphinois. I have no idea how they get it to taste like it did. Crunchy outside, 'melt in the mouth' inside. Got through 26 bottles of wine (18 people). No idea how I got home." | meanwhile
03/2/2019 17:59 | "Over to you, Minerve, to respond to getting's post." He is filtered. I have no intention of reversing the decision this time. I will not miss much, for sure. LOL | minerve
03/2/2019 17:50 | Meanwhile, Porky has filtered Getting and me. Sounds a good meal. I often cook belly pork in the way described. Meal very rich. Quite fatty. Needs a food wine to cut through it. | brexitplus
03/2/2019 17:45 | Over to you, Minerve, to respond to getting's post.. | meanwhile
03/2/2019 17:43 | Hi Getting, sounds like a great night. The pork is cooked very slowly - 2.5 to 3 hours, or longer, makes the meat very tender and the crackling scrumptious. Roast onions are lovely, as is roast garlic. | brexitplus

03/2/2019 15:08 | Some people say "Hey, Minerve, you've been investing for decades and made enough money, don't you think you should end your date with the ADVFN chimps and retire?", and I say: | minerve
03/2/2019 13:29 | brexit, still a few inches of snow here, but going quite fast today. Minerve, I only eat beef in burgers. If you still eat chicken though, try McDonalds chicken selects. Better than KFC, I think. The chicken wraps are also good. | meanwhile
03/2/2019 13:20 | MEANWHILE Haven't been to McDonalds for a year or so. Sounds good, but I don't eat beef. When I used to eat beef my favourite was the 1/4 pounder with said gherkin on top. | minerve
03/2/2019 12:32 | Meanwhile, do you still have snow? I imagine it has been very cold overnight. Hope your chickens are ok. | brexitplus
03/2/2019 11:22 | Very pleased to hear the details of your day, brexitplus. | meanwhile
03/2/2019 10:45 | On food, I’m cooking today in batches - beef daube, liver casserole, soup, and for dinner grilled salmon. Also need to cut wood to replace raised beds. Should have done this before. Right, time for another coffee. Here it is a Brexit free day. Most days are. | brexitplus
03/2/2019 10:11 | Let's get this day going then. I've nothing to say on Melrose or brexit, but this news should interest you. Big Mac™ Bacon. It's here. Two 100% beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, Special sauce and... bacon. Think Big Mac but even better. 10/10 on Trustpilot. | meanwhile
02/2/2019 20:35 | steeplejack You are wasting your time. They know you are right, but their small-minded inferiority complexes don't allow them to admit they are wrong. | minerve
02/2/2019 20:11 | Steeplejack. A large percentage of those who voted Remain will be dead too. Just look at the Lords, heseltine included! I believe that 12.9 million people eligible to vote didn’t do so. Obviously they are thick, ignorant, morons like us Brexiteers. Had they voted would the winning margin be bigger? Also, will all trade between us and the EU cease on 29th March? | brexitplus |
