I see the parasite procession is going to be in full-swing today. JC is right. Out-dated institution supported by dinosaurs and stuck-in-the-muds.

ADDITION TO MY POST THIS MORNING

About Nortek Security & Control
Nortek Security & Control LLC is a global leader in smart connected devices and systems for residential smart home, security, access control, AV distribution, and digital health markets. NSC and its partners have deployed more than 4 million connected systems and over 25 million security and home control sensors and peripherals.

Surprised Melrose bothered buying a global leader, or even buying an add on last week.

Yes. And Rooney is not the highest paid either. Ozil and Sanchez on more. And none of them earn as much as the top F1, baseball or NFL players if you take full packages including image rights and sponsorships etc into account. Surprised we don't hear Minerve ranting about that...

B+, unlike you to miss a detail but actually Man Utd still pay Rooney the other £150k so that he isn't 'out of pocket' at Everton!

Rooney took a big cut from £300 to £150k per week when he joined Everton from ManU so nearly 2 weeks!!!

But moving to the US it will probably be back to less than 1 week.

And me with two left feet. Oh what might have been!!?!!

Still Melrose dividend on Monday. I don’t know whether to buy an ice cream at the seaside or that Aston Martin. Decisions, decisions!!!

Must be almost £251k now, all totalled up. You could employ Wayne Rooney for almost a week!

Another great day on the welsh fells, sheep bleating, birds singing, cuckoo calling, Melrose up, large cold S&B to drink, and everything, apart from a few wars and some other things, is right with the world.
By the way, with MRO up, I have even more money than I had yesterday.

Yes, yes. All very interesting Meanwhile - but don't you need an explanation of the figures you posted? Not one is in a range, an average or a mean, and that little squiggly thing at the end is a percentage sign.

Time you were a little more original in your postings, old bean ;)

Yes, Nortek. Terrible. Can’t imagine why they bought it.

I’m not sure about waiting once the GKN acquisition is complete. Senior need to improve and Melrose won’t be slow in acquiring/merging with businesses that improve GKN. I’ve just looked at the Senior 2017 Annual Report Presentation which shows all the synergies. Plus pension looks in pretty good shape. If it was acquisition there is a possibly of a rights issue. I’m sure there would be no problem with that.

Could be that Senior may be a better punt than Stirling at present? Watch and wait - you could be right, but I'd imagine nothing more will happen until Melrose unload the 'dog' that is Nortek!!

I’m still of the opinion that Melrose May go after Senior plc. Valued at £1.2 billion there are great synergies. Add the fact that Senior operating profit margin is falling - down from 9.3% to 8.1% at the last results.

71% of Senior is Aero and 29% Flextronics.

Any other sensible and reasoned opinions welcome.

Nortek, symbolic of the failure and mismanagement Melrose has generated! Now only valued at twice the price MRO paid, disgraceful!!

Trouble is the experienced players don’t perform. Quarter final will be a bonus and the young players will get to know what is expected of them. As long as our players don’t get to play in the best teams or get occasional matches we will not progress. Hopefully they will fight, unlike last time. Youth, pace and pride.

Haven’t looked at the walks in detail. We have so many good walks here to get in proper shape. Will decide on the area we want to visit then use iWalks.

Minerve, back so soon?
I certainly did do my due diligence, it went like this:
Step 1 - check smart investors like Yertiz are holders
Step 2 - check the trolls and Vince Cable aren't holders
Step 3 - run some 'calculations' using my Ladybird Guide to Shares borrowed from Meanwhile
Step 4 - BUY

Youth over experience...been tried before, Hoddle had a go at getting youth into the team but that episode ended in tears. Southgate may have more success but I somehow doubt we'll get very far in Russia. Pleased to see the highly over rated and underperforming Hart isn't part of the squad. Paid far too much for doing far too little.

Telegraph may be on to something.....

Any of the iWalks tickle your fancy? There's plenty to choose from, many with a decent pub part way around too.

Today's news, in the absence of our usual reporter :-

Quite old news, Numis has a new price target on Melrose of 280p, but add that progress to fruition could be slower than usual, which MRO bosses generally quote as 2-3 years.
I am more confident. £3 by Christmas 2024.

FAQs :-
getting : I won't be selling.
yertiz : Please look at the words closely.
mattboxy : Yes, I do have a lot.
