01/6/2018 11:09 | REMOVING FRUIT STAINS Act Fast! It’s best to act immediately when orange or blackcurrant juice is split and to gently blot up as much of the excess liquid as quickly as possible. Of course, you can’t always treat the stain immediately. Lunchtimes at school are a prime time for an orange juice stain to occur when you’re not there to take action, and when you’re enjoying a family picnic, blackcurrant juice stains can go unnoticed amongst the fun and games of the day. However, the quicker you begin to treat the stain, the easier it will come out in the wash. So do try to blot the stain as soon as possible, even when you only have a paper napkin to do the job. How to Remove Juice Stains from Clothes Be sure to check the care label on your garment before cleaning the stain, and always test on a small patch of the fabric before treating the whole area. If your item is marked as dry clean only, then take it to a professional. Step 1: Rinse any excess liquid from the fabric, being careful not to spread the stain further. Step 2: Pre-treat the stain with Persil small & mighty Bio liquid and the Stain Eraser Ball. Persil small & mighty can be used as a pre-treater. Pop the ball out of the bottle, and then pour a small amount of the detergent directly onto the stain using the specially designed Stain Eraser Ball. Do not dilute with water. Then gently rub the area with the bottom of the Stain Eraser Ball. This will loosen the stain and break up any ground-in stains. Step 3: Wash on a normal cycle at 40 degrees with Persil small & mighty Bio. Step 4: After the item has been washed, check the stain has been removed and leave to dry. If you can, dry the item outside in natural sunlight; using a dryer could set in the stain more if it has not completely disappeared. If necessary, repeat the stain removal process before drying. 01/6/2018 09:55 | getting I am not convinced by your argument. Real had a good game in the final but they were extremely poor and lucky in the semis and quarters against Bayern and Juventus. The Spanish sides have had their day and players who were part of the golden period are all due to retire in a few years. Of course they will always be good competition but their dominance is ending. | minerve
31/5/2018 20:21 | Not a single Liverpool player rushed to console Karius, even though three Real Madrid players did. And the Liverpool club motto is...You'll Never Walk Alone | gettingrichslow
31/5/2018 14:26 | brexit Thanks for the insight yesterday. Have a good break. The weather looks good ATM. Planning some outdoor painting over the next month - that is probably going to guarantee a change in the weather. Yertiz Thanks for your post a while back. Wasn't forgotten. Real Madrid deserved to win on the night. We were outplayed in mid-field. Keeper had a bad night. That's the way it goes sometimes. I hope the keeper actually stays. Knowing Klopp makes me feel he will stay. I have been to many matches over the years but mostly at Stoke. My dad is a Stoke City supporter and it is more convenient to travel M6/A500 than travel to Liverpool. | minerve
31/5/2018 13:57 | MEANWHILE - I think I've missed where all the talk of 'atheletes foot' has come from, still thanks for the suggestion 'tho I'm pretty sure dogs don't get it, after all they don't wear socks do they ? Yertiz - Yes some IT's are a bit naff, I've had a few, but overall I still believe in them and would much prefer my money was in an IT rather than a unit trust or whatever the new name for them is haha. B+ Well done on the TR choice, have been looking at a few property related trusts myself. | losos
31/5/2018 07:24 | Hi Losos Not only the break fee but £20+ million fees paid to Dana advisors as fees for “buying” GKN. Not notified to the market or approved by GKN shareholders. Am pleased to say my TR Property investment (final results today), dividends reinvested, it now paying 16.9% on my initial investment. Dividend up 16.2% for the year!!!! | brexitplus
30/5/2018 22:49 | Losos, Have you considered that the older dog may have athlete’s foot? | meanwhile
30/5/2018 22:08 | B+ - "Think £40 million Dana break fee Absolutely incredible, tells me that they had planned to sell to Dana from a long time back, but at the MP's meeting it was all very vague and they didn't tell the MP's the truth. Oh well they are now regretting their words haha. Dogs are well thanks, was down by the river today, younger one always goes for a swim, older one puts two front paws in (to drink) but won't go in the water, something in his early life (before he came to us) makes him stay out. Most people think that Newfoundlands are all great swimmers but dogs are like humans, all different and all have their own likes and dislikes. | losos
30/5/2018 21:55 | gettingrichslow - "Rather he learns about that than joining a gang or gets involved with drugs etc in a few years time" Completely agree, don't see any problem in helping youngsters understand finance. The older I get the more I despair at the waste that drugs and gangs impose on the young. I live in a very rural part of the country, 30 years ago such problems were unheard of, now even in these parts these evils are present. | losos
30/5/2018 17:38 | ATHLETE'S FOOT FACTS Athlete's foot is a common disorder of the feet characterized by scaling and/or blistering of the soles, fissures of the toe webs, and itching. When caused by a fungus, athlete's foot may spread to the palms, groin, and body. Fungal infections of the feet are contagious and can be spread person to person or by walking on contaminated floors. Other causes of athlete's foot include contact allergy, erythrasma, bacterial infection, pompholyx, intertrigo, and occasionally psoriasis. When athlete's foot is caused by a fungus, it can be treated with antifungal medications, many of which are available without a prescription. Keeping the feet dry by using cotton socks and breathable shoes can help prevent athlete's foot. HOME REMEDIES FOR ATHLETE'S FOOT Many over-the-counter antifungal medications can be applied to the affected area. These creams should be used sparingly but regularly, at least once a day. An application the size of a chocolate chip should be adequate to cover the entire bottom of your foot. It is important to keep your feet clean and dry. Wear clean, absorbent socks made of natural fibers, such as cotton, and change them during the day if your feet become moist or sweaty. If possible, remove the insoles of shoes and sneakers to allow them to dry out over night. Dusting the inside of your shoes and socks with talcum powder or a medicated powder such as Zeasorb-AF will help to decrease the moisture level. Alternate wearing different pairs of shoes to allow them to dry out for a day or two at a time. | meanwhile
30/5/2018 17:23 | Next week Six cars,we move on after each race so we race each car. Minis and/or Porsches. Yes, green good, red rubbish for minis. Porsche’s all good. Track call, 10 second penalty in the pits. It’s really very logistical since we race using fuel usage and tyre wear. Racing gets better the more we drink. Relaxing. Ages 10 to 70. You should try it!!! When I was young we never had money for Scalextric or any big toys. Now not the room. We race on an 80ft track including all the twists and turns. When young beyond my wildest dreams!!! | brexitplus
30/5/2018 17:12 | Ok, brexit. Scalextrics, is that tonight? Do you get to choose cars? Is there a car that wins more than others? What happens if a car comes off? Not taking the..... just want to be more friendly and interested. | minerve
30/5/2018 17:03 | Thank you minerve. | brexitplus
30/5/2018 17:02 | OK. Fair enough. You are in the right, I am in the wrong. I don't know the full facts. Apologies getting. | minerve
30/5/2018 16:54 | Minerve. Please. Language. Things HAD become much more pleasant. Cricket, recipes, Melrose. No need to be critical if you don’t know the facts. AS YOU POSTED RECENTLY, WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT QUALITIES AND VIEWS ON THINGS. LET IT REMAIN SO. | brexitplus
30/5/2018 16:45 | getting Why even have a screen trading when you are volunteering with kids? Your focus isn't there obviously. No wonder productivity is rock-bottom. | minerve
30/5/2018 16:40 | Welcome back Losos. Hope the dogs are well. Yes, I will be topping up too. Moody’s - pinch of salt - based on GKN performance under the old board who oversaw years of decreasing operating profit margins while wasting a huge amount of shareholders money trying to protect their own jobs. Think £40 million Dana break fee, paying Dana’s fees, etc. This was all more than the £80 million they stated. Minerve, I thought we’d buried the hatchet. | brexitplus |
