Hi jeffian

Like you I have a few PRM, just for old times sake.

I usually use historical p/e ratios and momentum charts to guide my investments.

I have done well by buying the oilers a few years ago. Burren and Paladin were taken over and I reinvested the proceeds into DANA (DNX) and Dragon (DGO). They did so well that i decided to buy a couple of smaller oilers Ithaca (IAE) and Serrico (SQZ) the former has tripled in less than four months.

I have had my share of dogs Torotrak (TRK) and Oxford Bio (OXB) being among them. Greatest mistake was buying Aero Inventory (AI) which went into bankruptcy.

I looked at Stagecoach when the share price was about 110p but passed it by.

We must have been at the same Proteome AGM some years ago where CJP said Sanofi may only pay PRM £1.

In any event I enjoy your posts and wish your investments well especially good old MARS.

Thanks,m. I think you've highlighted my investment 'expertise' before!

I'm a buy-and-hold merchant, me, so I don't really do "exciting". Because I worked in the sector, I tend to hold a wide range of brewer/pubco's and, even after the nightmares of the past couple of years, most of them are still well above water. Other than that, Cobham (COB) has done me quite well and Stagecoach (SGC) has been a star - I followed CEO Brian Souter in at 37p and wished I'd done it again when he bought another shedload last year around the 120's.

You?

jeffian

Have you purchased any exciting shares?

Vislink, Proteome Sciences and breweries, it's enough for an investor to want to top himself.

diku,
You seem to watch every minute movement of this stock. As a shareholder, I certainly have a hope and expectation that it will show me some decent growth over time, but do you really expect 'fireworks' from a regional brewer?

dasv,

Thanks for the chart much appreciated. I'll be holding for the summer, World Cup and beyond. The patient holders will be rewarded.

IMO £1 will become support before the end of the month given the recent increase in volumes.

If it was any other share trading around this level it would have hit 100p much sooner!...unlike MARS doing what it does best teasing below the 100p..

Just had a nose at the last 20 minutes of trading and there was a hell of a lot of buys leading up to close with a large UT trade 286k at 98p. Maybe there was another buy rec out late this afternoon . Looking forward to opening tomorrow ;-)
