still plenty of growth on Medoro, besides like Sargold who bought Furtei in Sardegna, Medoro could seek a merger with another mining group, hence increase diversification and financing

there is quite a few millions in the kitty and good mine prospects too

some background on Mali as a gold-producing country (from another article about another player, CAG):

In Mali, which is Africa's third largest gold region with some of lowest cost gold mines in the world, CAG has an 80% share in two JVs with a total of 23 exploration permits covering over 2,600 square kilometres. A drilling programme began in January 2007; some 215 holes totalling 8,400 metres have been drilled; assays and analysis are now in progress.

just before the rns, another Canadian poster commented on the recent high volume

My take:
So was Mali the reason for the recent high volume, ... or is it the Venezuelan gold properties arousing interest & t/o talk (Crystallex, Goldcorp, Barrick, Goldfields, ...) and/or that Russian investment fund in Venezuela (see earlier on thread)?

poster (23.4.07)

"No news releases or anything like that (not since 8 March 2007), but something is definitely going on: the volume is totally wacky from any previous volume. This stock showed up on my radar last week, so I've been watching it. Maybe some big news is pending"

is this going up because it's (still) a t/o target?

This from ages ago (Jan 2006)

Early in the week Medoro Resources sparked a trading frenzy after announcing that it had engaged GMP Securities to raise up to C$10-million through the sale of 142,857,143 units priced at C$0.07 each. A unit holds half a warrant and each full warrant is exercisable at C$0.15 for 18 months. Iacono Serafino, the CEO of Bolivar Gold, and Miguel de la Campa, the President of Bolivar, both sit on the board of Medoro, and now that Bolivar Gold is being taken over by South African-based Gold Fields, investors appear to be speculating that a new deal for Medoro is pending. Medoro shares added C$0.04 to close at C$0.21 on heavy volume
