26/8/2022 17:34 | Listening to Powell at the Fed. He really means business this time. No more Mr.Nice guy. American shares are tanking today, the era of free money is over. Paul Volker is considered be a folk hero in America because he tamed inflation in the 1970's. He famously increased American interest rates by 3% one Sunday afternoon. that was shock and awe. I feel nervous about the basket case UK economy. We are even worse yet inflation will kill us. This autumn could be terrible for stocks, strikes, civil unrest and eventually job losses. | careful | |

25/8/2022 12:28 | Nurseries tell kids to wear multi-layers to keep warm as nurseries may have to cut heating to save costs: Looks like we are going back to war times when most houses could only heat one or two rooms in a house and that is what may happen people just heat the main living room and bedrooms stay cold but most people have got double glazing so it won't be as bad as some people think it's just they won't feel as comfortable. I think the picture is a bit over the top myself you would wrap up like that outside not inside this is another example of the media being over dramatic. | debsdowner |
