Slurpy , if you get a do it yourself heat collector suit and pedal your bike a lot and the heat you generate will be collected in heat flasks .

These heat flasks are made out of special polystyrene material used in space rockets crafts , they have a 2 way valve system for heat in and heat out.

You will need a convertor added to the heating system to allow the drawn off body heat that you stored while pedalling your bike .

The suits and convertors are Chinese made products .

They are about 2 years old in the manufacturing and a proven record of how good these are.

You will have to research the product on google or similar .

A friend on mine has one and says they are so special and save a fortune on heating bills .

He also has a lada that dries his family and his neighbours clothes while he drives his car .
so this is another ideal for you if you drive a car .

I will be putting some pictures on here shortly of both the products , for saving money now and in the future , should you have one or both .

UK GDP declined -0.1& in last quarter we are now starting a recession in the UK and it could get quite grim. There is only so much the GOV can do go ease energy bills it wont touch the sides.

Qantas John Lewis have been saying they had to retire iot's price pledge for some time, they canot compets with some of the electrical retailers like "Marks Electrical" who also promise next day delivery. There are quite a few electrical firms out there specializing in white goods. John Lewis was probably losing money matching their deals.

One good thing about John Lewis is they tend to give a better guarantee but some manufacturers giving 5 years anyway on some stuff.

John Lewis is to retire its 97-year-old price pledge "never knowingly undersold" on 22 August but has yet to reveal a catchy new slogan to take its place. The department store chain told customers in an email it will not accept new claims under the pledge from 23 August, instead promising them - rather long-windedly - it is "always knowingly committed to outstanding value". - Guardian

Martin Lewis on radio 4 today program on Wednesday said if the price cap had been reviewed every 6 months then from October then the annual cap would have been 3600. Changing the cap to a 3 monthly review will result the annual cap being 3800 to 3900 over the winter.
OFGEM are now changing the cap every 3 months as they believe when energy prices fall the fall will be passed onto consumers quicker.

darrin, so what price is Martin Lewis saying will go up to next year? I too trust what he says over what newspaper reporters say.

Martin Lewis the Money Saving Expert says there is a published formula using 12 month rolling futures or something similar. I would trust his figures.

Press saying average energy costs to go up to £5,000 next year which is clearly going to cut down retail spend.

Even more well off households with large houses will feel the heat so to speak.

The GOV in emergency talks today but there is little they can do about wholesale
costs.

Whatever can happen won't happen immediately.

not wisejonny , We are going into a deep recession ,

And it is going to be bad to awfull.

So tighten your seat belt to withstand the strain as it will hurt more than 1/2 the population in the uk.

I agree entirely, the ex boss of Sainsburys didn't want it for some of the reasons I outlined having to pay wages for all the staff but Justin King had to follow the crowd.

Tesco abondoned 24 hours opening for the same reasons.

I never understood Sunday opening.People only have so much money to spend and they don't have more because there is an extra day.And councils have to pick up the bill for street cleaning etc which they didn't use to do on Sundays.

The 5% from Russia is irrelevant. There is a single European market for energy. Europe as a whole needs to reduce consumption and this includes the UK or prices will keep on rising. Small drops in European consumption will lead to smaller price rises for all. Lower consumption and prices leaves more to spend in the rest of the economy and gives less to Putin.

If the GOV ordered the British retailers to cut hours and even return to Sunday trading I suspect we would save enough money to make up the 5% we take from Russia and we would not complain at the amount of inconvenience if it would save us money.

darrin,

Something is going to give because we are still in summer and people are kicking off now. I believe 2 GOV ministers to meet with the energy suppliers today to see what they can come up with.

If they don't budge the GOV may threaten them with a windfall tax.
