23/8/2019 09:32 | does seem a bit grumpy. all I can do is hold tight and concentrate on the view out of the porthole. and hope they flog a flat or two soonish. | zangdook
23/8/2019 09:28 | Share price not very happy? | zcaprd7
19/8/2019 07:55 | Judging by this report in today's MACAU DAILY TIMES, it looks like the residential property market in Macau is going ballistic with Q2 overall sales volume up by a whopping 95% and prices up 7.5%. hXXps://macaudailyti Additionally it seems likely that prospective buyers will actively be considering Macau very positively compared to other near-by locations. All looking pretty good for Macau. Visitor numbers booming. Residential property sales near doubling in Q2, impact of Mainland bridge vastly improving accessibility of Macau. This is all good news. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
15/7/2019 13:45 | BLOW OUT VISITOR FIGURES IN MACAU. VISITORS NUMBERS ARE 25% HIGHER THAN PREVIOUS YEAR CASINO SHARES SPARKLE AND UP 20% SINCE JUNE. DRIVEN BY MAINLAND CHINA VISITORS AND AN EASING IN TENSION BETWEEN CHINA AND USA. PROBABLY ALSO BY RECENT DEMONSTRATIONS IN HK WHICH WILL FAVOUR MACAU AS A VISITOR DESTINATION. GROWING IMPACT ON MACAU VISITOR NUMBERS AND ECONOMY SINCE RECENTLY OPENED MAINLAND BRIDGE LINK. TALK OF DIVERSIFYING MACAU ECONOMY FROM GAMING. TALK OF LAUNCHING A STOCK EXCHANGE IN MACAU. ALL THESE FACTORS SHOULD IN MY OPINION SUPPORT DEMAND FOR, AND VALUE OF, REAL ESTATE PRICES. MAKES MPO LOOK GREAT VALUE AS MACAU ECONOMY BEGINS TO SIZZLE. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
24/4/2019 07:23 | Bouncing back. Should go much further . A discount to NAV which is totally unjustified and making this a top-ten bargain. all imo. dyor. qp | quepassa
29/3/2019 08:01 | China up 4% today. expect follow-thru | quepassa
27/3/2019 09:50 | Several days now at open, the market makers have been marking price down at open, only to see price rebound quickly. In my experience, this sort of activity is frequently a sign that there are buyers around and that the stock is wanted. This type of tree-shaking activity by market-makers is designed to scare weak holders and to flush out sellers. This stock remains very cheap in my view. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
15/3/2019 12:57 | This share has enormous hidden value - its value is often overlooked. all imo. dyor. qp | quepassa
15/2/2019 10:01 | Fascinating article on page 26 of today's FT Insight Column written by Emma Dunkley, headed " Hot property prices in Hong Kong defy the chill from China". Quote " Hong Kong residents sit on a large amount of savings which could be channeled into the property market as investors seek higher returns" With the HK-Macau bridge recently opened, the softer HK property market apparent over the last 12 months may be strengthening again and Macau will likely be a major beneficiary in my view. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
15/2/2019 06:48 | I'm not sure I would describe the update as upbeat. The only thing they spun positively was the bridge, and I only see that as (possibly) significant for the the economy, not for the high-end real estate market. Pretty much everything company-specific in the update was downbeat. I'm not too surprised the price has fallen, but there's still good value for those prepared to wait. | zangdook
13/2/2019 13:59 | QP - thanks for that view. Am sure you are right and that MPO at this price is definitely a BUY. | galeforce1
12/2/2019 08:16 | At a STONKING discount to NAV of an eye-watering 40%, this overlooked fund looks outstanding value:- Pretty upbeat Q4 Update. Buoyant outlook. Money recently flooding back into Chinese equities. Full impact of recently opened HK-Macau bridge not yet felt and reflected. Record number of Macau visitors in 2018. Further multi-billion US$ upgrades to casino complexes by Sands and Wynne. Indiscrimately, taken lower by China sell-off last year which has quickly reversed in January, opportunity knocks. Time to stock up. Thank you Mr. Market. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
06/2/2019 10:43 | Big slide down here over the last six months. Any reason for this, or is it just an investor getting out of an illiquid trust and pushing the price down? | galeforce1
11/12/2018 17:05 | Seems to have fallen back for no reason I can see Time for a top up Massive discount to net assets | jbarcroftr
23/8/2018 10:08 | Well, clearly Sniper still think that MPO offers great value judging by another chunky investment into the fund they manage. Another 717,000 shares being about another £1.3million. Sniper are not just investing for fun but see inherent value in the share which continues to trade at a whopping discount to NAV. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
03/8/2018 15:32 | MPO? MAO delisted in 2009. | zangdook
02/8/2018 17:25 | Recycling my dividend into Mao seems a no brainer to me | jbarcroftr
02/8/2018 14:34 | A blip in casino revenue growth. Numbers still significantly up but a tad less than analyst forecasts. Wynn Resorts share price fell badly fell. Very interestingly, Wynn CEO blames lower than expected performance due to World Cup keeping gamblers at home. But says that "Best Years for Wynn Macau yet to come". hXXps://www.cnbc.com Sounds like a storm in a tea-cup to me and a temporary blip rather than any deeper-seated problem in a strengthening economy for Macau. According to Wynn, recent Macau trading since World Cup has been excellent. Personally, no concerns and perhaps a very nice buying opportunity. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
27/7/2018 07:21 | A good start today with the share price reaching £2. | 888icb
25/7/2018 07:08 | FOR THE RECORD. SHARE REDEMPTION PROCEEDS RECEIVED BY ME ON A/C AT STOCKBROKERS YESTERDAY 24/7/18. MPO REDEEMED 19.1% (19.098265%) of SHARES AT A STERLING PRICE OF £2.618p PER SHARE. ACCORDING TO MY CALCULATIONS, IF YOU PREVIOUSLY OWNED 1,000 MPO, YOU WILL NOW OWN 809 NEW MPO PLUS REDEMPTION CASH OF £500.04 ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
10/7/2018 06:25 | Very buoyant performance and exceptional outlook as Macau fundamentals look increasingly strong and economy picks up greater speed. A strong backdrop with increasing tourism and the opening of the road bridge to the Mainland will support property prices. Looking very good and strengthened balance combined with low LTV's make the ongoing discount to NAV a real bargain. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
11/6/2018 10:28 | well, they just had a massive portfolio sale and 18 months ago rejected a bid for thewhole portfolio . the real estate market has taken off recently and their desire to sell is well known in the marketplace. buyers will be nibbling and sooner or later biting in my opinion. all imo. dyor. qp | quepassa
11/6/2018 10:09 | Almost bound to be As all properties are held in spv,s it shouldn’t be difficult to find a couple of buyers and achieve net asset value Being cynical it’s probably all about snider keeping the management | jbarcroftr |
