10/4/2024 09:46 | It's March cpi reports in the US today..Would the markets be down or up?? Still 180p-200p in the shorts list. | ![]() baldrick1
10/4/2024 09:32 | I suspect a lot of these analysts - so called- are targeting retrospectively. Easier | ![]() scruff1
10/4/2024 09:13 | Crazy from them but hey they are still smarting from being completely wrong on Phoenix | ![]() dope007
10/4/2024 09:08 | FWIW :- JPMorgan cuts M&G price target to 225 (235) pence - 'neutral' | ![]() skinny
09/4/2024 08:08 | The shorts list is still 180p. | ![]() baldrick1
08/4/2024 17:52 | Now, that is a chart and a half. 30p drop for a 14p divi. LGEN will do the same - not sure about Aviva, that seems to have a bit more of a growth story about it and a supporting buy back Looks like a lot of weight wanted the divi but not the shares | ![]() marksp2011
08/4/2024 16:51 | Sitting on the 200ma again. | ![]() skinny
08/4/2024 16:49 | Ok Churchill much appreciated Anyway by the bye took a few here as Pru seems to have reached a nadir at 710 level So my 707 bid now looks to be going unfilled hence back in here Markets Investors and my good self totally clueless so the dividend covers a multitude of sins Thanks again Have removed my interest in Pru as serves no purpose now Good luck | ![]() jubberjim
08/4/2024 16:47 | This doesn't seem to be in much (new ISA) demand. | ![]() juliemara
08/4/2024 16:25 | It was a clean break. The PRU share were 1506p which became 220p M&G and 1286p PRU. If you had 1000 shares in the PRU you inherited 1000 M&G. The PRU also separated out their US interests in Jackson Financial which has had a remarkable run. | ![]() churchill2
08/4/2024 16:04 | I'll only buy @ 180-200p... would it come down?? | ![]() baldrick1
08/4/2024 10:00 | Here is a quick question As is the case with Abdn and Phnx Do the Prudential and Mng maintain a cross holding in each other as a result of the separation of Pru and Mng I ask as Mng has been losing ground over the last few days as has the Pru Can anyone offer any insight Thanks | ![]() jubberjim
08/4/2024 08:13 | adejuk - I'm not sure where I said that I can predict the market? | ![]() skinny
05/4/2024 19:10 | Fully agree, you get moments when you have a good chance of getting it right, but then we are all gambling. The thing is if we get that gamble wrong there is always the divi to live off. High dividends seem to be offset by low/ slow growth. Each to their own! Personally I will double my holding here before the next divi. | ![]() rongetsrich
05/4/2024 19:07 | Well, I'm hoping so as whilst I believe in the plan I want more shares... why pay top dollar! | ![]() rongetsrich
05/4/2024 16:28 | Will it continue to short down next week ?? | ![]() baldrick1
05/4/2024 15:13 | Skinny fair play, if you are on the pivot then big upside. I will top here but might wait until next week, though the 200 day seems to be holding for now and the gaps down will need to be filled in hopefully. | ![]() nerja
05/4/2024 14:58 | A heavy investment of a quid could swing it for mng Skinny. :- ) | ![]() helen troy
05/4/2024 14:11 | I hold all of those mentioned but am down on ABDN. I may take a small gamble in the hope that as they are so unloved and with an inevitable shake up, they are at or close to a point of inflection. I also found a quid down the back of the sofa and have some limited flexibility in this tax years ISA - so its MNG or ABDN. | ![]() skinny
05/4/2024 14:00 | Skinny ,what’s your rational for Abdn , not looked at it for ages, just took a look the chart looks awful ? Just toying with topping up myself , still wavering because of the Iran threat though. | ![]() nerja
05/4/2024 13:32 | A well-argued piece, but of course wasted on those whose only interest is a quick gamble on what may or may not occur around ex-dividend time. | ![]() woodhawk |
