Yes wood, as with all gambling, you make about 49% correct calls. No use for a casino for punters to go in with 500 quid and lose it in 5 minutes. It's designed so you make a grand or two at the peak via ups and downs, but eventually leave with nothing after 4or5 hours, craving to come back for more 'free' drinks served by beautiful women next week.

Another exciting day for the gamblers, the vast majority of whom will lose over time, and just another predictable day of large, compounding divis rolling in for the real winners. I have divi payouts today from IMB, NESF, DEC and SOHO so if the M&G price drops by a tempting amount over next few days, I will probably top up.

RonGetsRich's sell a couple of mornings ago looks to have been a good punt and now able to buy the same shares back making a profit on the drops+xd.

Lots of unhelpful noise on this thread this morning with certain people just posting without proper thinking.

I do have the facts. He's short term trading, and the facts from the regulator is that 80% will lose the lot. It's gambling, and as in all gambling it's for entertainment not making money.

Pierre, look into what he’s said. He’s not a trader, but trades this share. He’s said he sold at 240.3 to Helen on a day when he hit that.
235-13.2= a better return than the dividend IG he buys in right now.
Don’t dispel other investors, unless you have the facts. I’m going to watch and see today!

Seems to me rong that it's the ' muppets' as you call them who are raking in large dividends for doing nothing. The traders like you seem to be happy exchanging 100 shares for 105 shares of lower value, lowering your net worth by dealing chargesx2, spreadsx2, and stampx1.The key to making money is to put yourself on the side where the probability is triple exponentiation (divis reinvested) over time Instead of the trader probability of an 80% chance of losing the lot medium term.

It's only the muppets here that have to boast numerical, and most of those individuals are complete strangers who may just be Walts.

Woodhawk - my view as well (as I stated in 487). As an investor I am looking long term (though also reacting to circumstances as and when I deem appropriate). Like you I stack my divis and reinvest - as and when. I dont like the platform doing it as I have no control.
Be interesting to see where the investors are compared to the big time Charlies come say next Friday - or this
