I agree with Aerial over on LSE, Mark Slade arrived in a fanfare of energy and pledged to make this company rise from the ashes of Proxama, I was hit hard by my losses at Proxama under John Kennedy and so when Slade arrived I didnt trust him.
In fact, even though he had very little to do with Proxama, he became a focal point for my negativitiy.
It took a long time for me to buy into his vision of what Location Sciences could be. Communications were regular and it looked as though he was just what this Company needed.
So despite sitting on huge losses feom Proxama, I decided to invest some more and reduced my averages to around 3p.I even managed to gain some optimism that maybe, just maybe he might pull this off and see me recoup those paper losses.
Then came the disastrous and frankly disgraceful placing. Which couldnt have been more amateurish if they had tried. People suggest well how were they supposed to know that events elsewhere would affect them but thats the point, THEY ARE PAID TO KNOW.
Anyone with a modicum of awareness could see the appraoching crisis. They didnt and we paid for it. Massively.
Now its a waiting game again. All the optimism has once again evaporated. As far as im concerned Slade is just another hustler in a pinstripe suit. Promises much but delivers no value for shareholders. If this doesnt improve and fast then his reputation will be destroyed as he may well have arrived in a fnafare of previous tech success but that was obviously nothing but luck and a fluke as he sure as hell hasnt repeated it here.
I got burnt at Proxama and kicked myself for it
I then eventually bought into Slades vision for Location Sciences
The kicking I am going to give myself for believing his BS will be biblical

@Craig: I agree with you. Anything regarding location (verification) is "hot", a news release gets more probable with each that that passes. When so LSAI will fly.

Mark Slade the Mysterious disappearing man

He's been so anonymous and Missing In Action, that anyone would think he had offered to testify against the Clintons

In his address later this evening, the PM is expected to announce the launch of an alert system for tracking coronavirus in England and set out measures for how lockdown might be eased.

Is Location Sciences somehow involved here?

Assuming Location Sciences is still struggling or unable to convince others that it has the technology and knowhow to benefit the UK during these unprecedented times, then I feel that another company, either by outright acquisition or strategic shareholding, needs to step in and reenergise it.

Alas, the current BOD is not yet inspiring shareholders with their chosen direction of travel.

The Location Sciences solution - VerifyThe Verify platform from Location Sciences is a unique product allowing brandsand agencies to authenticate the location data they receive from distributors andpublishers.Within the global market for mobile advertising, which amounts to overUS$145bn, we estimate that around US$13bn consists of location-targetedadvertising in formats addressable by Verify. Assuming a 3-4% fee-generatingopportunity for Location Sciences, this amounts to a US$500mln revenueopportunity for Verify, with no direct competitor currently in existence.

Oh and Mark Slade asked if anyone had a contact in the Govt he could talk to?

He could do worse than contacting NHSX direct, the tech arm of the NHS who are OPENLY ASKING for help in developing an app

I do find it amusing that despite this from the Trading update RNS from 15th Jan 202p

"Location Sciences is also pleased to announce that it has agreed to a global data partnership with X-Mode, the foremost location data provider globally. This follows the decision by the Board to focus the Company and its resources on Verify, thereby maximising the Company's growth potential in the next few years. The partnership also gives Location Sciences the opportunity to extend its insights product reach internationally, which gives a further opportunity for growth in the foreseeable future.

X-Mode is acquiring Location Sciences' location data collection assets for a consideration of up to US$640,000 to be satisfied in cash. The consideration comprises an initial payment of up to US$180,000 with the balance to be paid monthly until December 2021. The total amount of the consideration payable is subject to the timing of the transfer of the data collection assets and certain performance criteria."

That there are muppets posting on LSE how our bluetooth beacon tech will fit perfectly with this new Track and Trace app.
