09/3/2013 10:03 | Tipped as a buy in SCSW today even at these dizzy heights. | bigbigdave
08/3/2013 19:42 | britishb 8 Mar'13 - 12:49 - 10028 of 10035 0 0 According to my research the whole competitive landscape for LOQ is about to take a terrible turn for the worse...Thai competition emerging: -------------------- britishb, I thought that was brilliant! Don't think most folks here clicked on the link. Why don't you paste the picture? | nightspot
08/3/2013 14:05 | Spud, I'm sure it makes sense and I suspect its a lot more likely to happen with the accesso guys involved than it was prior to the acquisition. | shanklin
08/3/2013 14:02 | What systems do Universal Studios have | papillon88
08/3/2013 13:52 | Shanklin - Not such a throwaway comment methinks. It makes great sense to both parties for licensing agreement imo.spud | spud
08/3/2013 13:42 | The encouraging thing is the healthy volumes by LOQ's standards, with over 150k traded already today. There are obviously insatiable buyers out there. | rivaldo
08/3/2013 13:11 | Am having some difficulty trying to figure out if this is the right price as there are no other competitors (other than Disney). Its exceeded the broker rec of 500p and has been on an endless ascent for a while. | robotface
08/3/2013 13:03 | I should state that my Disney comment was a tongue-in-cheek one as the share price soared over £6. | shanklin
08/3/2013 12:54 | Lol - I suppose you'll be telling us next the Germans have invented a cunning poolside reservation system..spud | spud
08/3/2013 12:49 | According to my research the whole competitive landscape for LOQ is about to take a terrible turn for the worse...Thai competition emerging: | britishb
08/3/2013 12:44 | ISYes they do & will probably be dealt with through LA's. However, LOQ are no strangers to punching above their weight if need be, having confronted Disney re patents in early 2000, and won forcing Disney to back down.spud | spud
08/3/2013 12:21 | ...I'm not a Disney expert or LOQ expert... but I disagree with comment about Disney..... Disney do JVs with many companies.....includ while I agree that often Disney prefer to be their own masters....as all IP developers do, ie. own some IP and then try to develop it (as Disney did by buying Whinney the Pooh rights) the main Disney business is not LOQ type stuff....and imo Disney have no or little interest in developing a product to compete with LOQ. Like all companies, they will, imo, stick to their main business, IP and maybe theme parks as a sideline (to benefit from and also promote their IP (characters). | markt
08/3/2013 12:18 | Well if LOQ don't have any tech that isn't easily replicable by Disney without a licence fee being needed I'd be worried. | igbertsponk
08/3/2013 12:11 | It would be very unusual for Disney to go external for such a system or even a license. As others here have commented before, Disney prefer to be their own masters and seldom take on others products/ideas unless they buy them outright. AIMHO. WDIK. camlad | camiladasi
08/3/2013 11:54 | Following up my post 9862 on 18th Feb. sp progress of LOQ vs MOS (and going to add PTO, GBO, INTQ as well) to have a 5 horse race LOQ. 490 to 590 now. % = 20% MOS 58 to 61p % = 5% PTO 200p to 300p % = 50% GBO 32 to 44. % = 38% INTQ 255p to 290p. % = 14% so, for these short 3 weeks, PTO is winning , with LOQ in 2nd place. my favourite MOS is jogging along last, warming up !....and waiting to hit the turbo button ! ------- Since Jan 1. LOQ. 400 to 590 now. % = 48% MOS 30 to 61p % = 103% PTO 200p to 300p % = 50% GBO 22 to 44. % = 100% INTQ 170p to 290p. % = 71% With MOS just in the lead, followed by GBO. | markt
08/3/2013 11:45 | The new licencing revenue must have come from someone like Disney, who have done their own in-house version of LOQ, with added bells and whistles. | igbertsponk
08/3/2013 11:31 | Yup I suppose it could be Disney related hence the reluctance of the Market to part with shares. If it is Disney, it would be a major coup seeing as they are a dyed-in-the-wool in house company. Exciting times methinks. spud | spud
08/3/2013 11:25 | Gosh I wonder when the contract with Disney will be announced... | shanklin
08/3/2013 11:21 | Isn't it time that LOQ invented a queuing system for those wanting to get to the front of the queue to buy its shares ? | igbertsponk
08/3/2013 11:13 | By who? D? | robotface
08/3/2013 11:12 | Hmmm. I had 660p as a 2014 forecast with £10 in for 2015. Something's afoot here. Hope we're not being bought out on the cheap :-(spud | spud
08/3/2013 11:10 | Actually, as we hit 600p I would like to thank once again GlennBorthwick who promoted these shares so actively back in those days. Who can forget this thread title: "LOQ SET TO WIN MASSIVE DOLLY PARTON CONTRACT"? He sold out at 150p as I recall to invest in his own business - I hope things have worked out well for him. | orange1
08/3/2013 11:00 | Trade just gone through at 602p! (not mine btw). Nice to see my original year end target reached in a little over 2 months! New year end target.............. Must be insatiable demand at the moment, but then there are not exactly that many shares in issue full stop. | itchycrack
08/3/2013 10:59 | It's a funny old world: back in the winter of 2008, if the price had gone up by the same amount as it has today, you would have doubled your investment in one day! | orange1 |
