28/3/2013 07:58 | Spud, LOQ now has £29m of annual revenues. The class tests for RNS disclosure for AIM companies provide that materiality is 10% or more (from memory), so one further park is certainly immaterial in that respect as regards £29m! As I said, the importance lies in the extension of Universal's relationship with LOQ. | rivaldo
28/3/2013 07:55 | Circa $150000 not material? spud | spud
28/3/2013 07:48 | Excellent news - Universal love us :o)) It's only an RNSNON as an individual park is certainly not material to the LOQ group as a whole purely in financial terms, but its importance as an additional park within the Univeral empire is certainly important enough as a vote of confidence to be released as newsworthy to the world at large. | rivaldo
28/3/2013 07:44 | I think the question was more related to the fact the news released through RNSNON generally is regarded an non earnings impacting related, while this certainly is.spud | spud
28/3/2013 07:33 | fft - it's an RNS-NON announcement. Those don't get shown in pure RNS columns. | m.t.glass
28/3/2013 07:23 | strange that it does not appear on the monitor. Nothing under the RNS column, but it appears in the news list (above). Why do universal want to try to keep this quiet ? | fft
28/3/2013 07:14 | Looks like Universal just can't get enough of the technology!Well done boys!Am I cynical thinking that the MMs knew about this yesterday & dropped the price deliberately in order to garner stock...??spud | spud
27/3/2013 21:43 | fft re post 10171 - I can see the logic in that. spud | spud
27/3/2013 21:40 | That is how it turned out but I was trying to effect two sales! Check and check again is the lesson I have learnt. | orange1
27/3/2013 21:14 | Orange I take it you were doing a B&B ? | ghostofahangman
27/3/2013 15:05 | MMs seem to be hedging their bets atm: Bid 597p (Max = 500) Offer 599.7p (Max = 200) spud | spud
27/3/2013 12:52 | Last time there was a price shift in LOQ- a week or so ago when the share price suddenly rocketed c10% from about 600 - behold, an RNS appeared the next day announcing a new contract. | robotface
27/3/2013 12:15 | Another possibility, and completely off the wall as I havnt checked anything, is that a fund raising is planned to either expand the existing ops (esp. accesso), or a new acquisition. when a placing occurs, the price does normally drop before hand to the price that the institutions will pay. | fft
27/3/2013 12:12 | Exactly ItchyCrack. There are stocks in both the USA and the UK which are on £200m-£400m m/caps which don't as yet make a bean of profit (and have barely any revenues). LOQ's m/cap is a mere £108m, yet is it is the global leader in its field (subject only to Disney) and has a similar global opportunity to widen its reach in all sorts of ways which should become clearer as time progresses. | rivaldo
27/3/2013 12:01 | There are stocks on NASDAQ (e.g. Zillow) that have a PE in three digits and still don't make any money, so its all possible. But, in LOQs case, contracts seem to be announced monthly and they're making more profits now with the weaker pound. A breather like this is healthy, and lets be honest, it was never just gonna keep going up in a straight line day after days, week after week. Will probably consolidate between 600 and 700 for a while. | itchycrack
27/3/2013 11:41 | >A NASDAQ listing (if it actually happens) will send LOQ into orbit! I think that already happened with a PE of 41 (at 662p). Do you think the Yanks will put an even higher valuation on Lo-Q? I have sold 2/3 of my holding over the past 9 months, due to being very overweight and the high PE. I still have a substantial holding in this great company. | alunmorris
27/3/2013 11:40 | There's still good news on the horizon: | 1001011
27/3/2013 11:16 | I'm definitely with you on that one Glyn10!! :-) A NASDAQ listing (if it actually happens) will send LOQ into orbit! | itchycrack
27/3/2013 11:09 | they can shake all they want, I am not selling this side of £10 ps | glyn10
27/3/2013 11:03 | Added a few more on this dip while there is greater liquidity. | itchycrack
27/3/2013 10:50 | Just a massive shake out. Remember there are so few shares in issue and demand from IIs at the moment that I wouldn't mind betting they are trying to shake out weak and small holders so the larger players can get a more sizable holding, seen this a thousand times before. Could even be a good thing for LOQ to have a share split at some point in time to encourage more II involvement and improve liquidity. | itchycrack
27/3/2013 10:45 | I sold right at the top: 1k at 693p. I was so pleased with myself, I decided to sell another 1k. In my rush, I ticked the buy button instead of the sell, so bought back those I had sold. Doh! | orange1
27/3/2013 10:42 | turning into a bit of a rout. 575-576 as I write. wish I had sold more than 1k at 580 ! should be a new buying op. soon though. | fft
27/3/2013 09:36 | No short termer here - have held the faith since 2009 (though not at the very low entry price of some from that time). It was just time to crystalise some of the benefit from LOQ's excellent progress since then. I remain well invested here. | patersdw |
