12/1/2025 10:41 | The international picture is interesting. Trump is no fan of NATO or the EU. Ukraine and Georgia huge land masses rich in assets and mineral wealth have both stated their wish to join the EU. What a mighty Empire the EU.would become. Strategically Russia is totally defeated if this was to happen. Trump wishes to annex Greenland and Canada, huge land masses rich in mineral wealth and of strategic importance. He also wishes to takeover the Panama Canal. It seems to me that economically WW3 has started. Interesting times, where does the UK fit into this situation? | careful

11/1/2025 22:06 | The end of the World is nigh. Doom and gloom after just 6 months of Labour. After 14 chaotic years of Tory bungling most on this thread have been blaming Labour from day 1 for today's mess. They are useless, but most of the chaos in the bond and currency markets are as a result of the mighty American Bond markets. I still do not understand why various governments over recent years have wanted immigration. They know it is unpopular with the electorate so they pretend to try to stop it. They are not that stupid, they know their policies are bound ton fail. Politics is in a mess, interesting to see how this Labour cabinet will respond to the crisis in the bond markets. | careful

11/1/2025 15:37 | Trump Musk Farage Robinson... hard to believe that a significant number of UK citizens will tolerate such people. I suppose a significant number of the UK might be 250 - 500k, but the majority ie everyone outside of London who aren't part of the establishment (institutions, civil service & media) WILL support them because they are no longer willing to accept the narrative of those with a vested interest. | utrickytrees |
