What a spectacular EU own goal! The very sanctimonious Irish backstop stick, that Europe has constantly tried to beat us with, has now been flagrantly misused to mask its evident desperation, incompetence and political misjudgement on a monumental scale. True colours will out, clearly exemplified here by a bullying, totalitarian, bureaucratic regime whose days are well and truly numbered. It's taken far longer than I thought it would, but the dominoes look well and truly set to systematically fall - and about time too! Fortunately for them, Michael Gove has been far more restrained and gracious in his comments than the likes of T.at Tusk and his colleagues.
