How curious that given the average age of death from covid is 82.5, that the Germans are only vaccinating those of working age 18 to 65 year olds! Thus the over 65's can be left to perish, whilst we vaccinate the group from whom very few die. One wonders by this measure that they bother at all!

"Min, thicko, which country has given the greatest percentage of its GDP to COVAX??"

With complete disastrous management so far and being COVID world central it needed to.

Besides Rishi will write cheques to anyone who asks for one.

Peter Wookey 29 Jan 2021 4:45PMSo 4 weeks into Brexit and we have the spectacle of thousands of British lives being saved over the next 6 months by virtue of not being part of the incompetent EU vaccination programme.Frankly, Brexit has been worth it already just for that. 4LikeReplyCarl Sanderson 29 Jan 2021 4:46PMExactly. Who would vote for Remain now?3LikeReplyJames Caine 29 Jan 2021 4:47PM@Peter WookeyI've noticed the social media line of "Brexit isn't working" has quickly gone away.Remain supporters all realising how stupid they were.... "GSK which is in my opinion quite a nasty piece of work"

How so?

"Long term GSK will continue to leave AstraZeneca for dead"

As someone else commented, AZN returns are far superior to GSKs - and I'd rather have been an AZN shareholder than a GSK one!!!

If Elbee = Andrew Wakefield, I repeat that he/they should be in prison.

In fact, there is an argument that they should be silenced by any means (including “termination”), but I will let others run with that.

"It’s worth pointing out, when all is said and done and M2 realises he is not very bright, that we are all in this together globally."

Eh, I've been arguing for cooperation whilst you lot have been playing Dad's Army. Talk about trying to flip the argument! Which side are you on?

"That being said, where are all the major trials being done? U.K. 1% of global population and yet a huge number of trialists leading to proof of efficacy and safety of life-saving drugs."

If you are asking the question you obviously don't know enough about pharma companies and how they work. If you think about it more deeply you will realise that current government are actually damaging UK pharma's competitive advantages.

Novavax CEO - we have signed a contract with the U.K. But not the EU. It is being negotiated (late again). We will be looking very closely at the terms of the contract with the EU.

The EU may have no idea how bad this week will turn out to be for them.

"Controlling exports..."A desperate action from Brussels to eliminate their failure. More and more vaccines are now available and UK is on the road to recovery economically by end of year wille Europe will take years to recover.
