03/1/2021 12:21 | The EUSSR is breaking up. | xxxxxy
03/1/2021 12:20 | Boris on the cake-ist treaty..."I hope I can be forgiven for reminding the world that many people used to insist that you couldn't do both: you couldn't have unfettered free trade with the EU, we were assured, without conforming to EU laws. You couldn't have your cake and eat it, we were told. Maybe it would be unduly provocative to say that this is a cake-ist treaty; but it is certainly from the patisserie department."... 03/1/2021 12:16 | Only the LibDems, Tories and SNP then G2 and I think the SNP have peaked now. Sturgeon no match for Boris. Don't think the Scots will back an EU in decline over a liberated UK on the road to prosperity. Wouldn't make sense....Scots are far too canny for that. | cheshire pete

03/1/2021 12:03 | "The people of the Highlands and Islands are independent, self-reliant and hard-working - the exact opposite of socialists." self-reliant - so right-wing billionaires make all their money by themselves? hard-working - The backbone of the industrial revolution was right wing? independent - Do they have their own brain surgery? Nutter, complete and utter nutter. | minerve 2
03/1/2021 12:00 | Utricky Cute little anecdote - is that all you've got? | minerve 2

03/1/2021 11:47 | cheshire pete2 Jan '21 - 22:46 - 327394 of 327430 0 3 0 Have to confess to feeling conflicted with regard to holidaying in Scotland.... Looking at the political map, most of the highlands are yellow SNP allegiance. Much as I enjoy the Highlands, feel reluctant to travel to and spend money where the beneficiaries seek to see the UK broken up. There's another way of looking at it though. The people of the Highlands and Islands are independent, self-reliant and hard-working - the exact opposite of socialists. That leaves Labour out of the question, so assuming they don't want to waste their vote on a no-hoper, who are they to vote for? | grahamite2
03/1/2021 11:47 | Utrickytrees Post 327395 "I'd rather go to France" I'd rather go to the Americas, Asia or Africa...some fantastic spots around the world - spoiled for choice. Why on earth does anyone want to go to Europe??? | geckotheglorious
