If the schools don't open because of the union pressure, teachers should be furloughed and paid the same 80% as all those in the private sector have had to accept since all the lockdown nonsense started. At the moment they're just getting extra-long holidays paid at 100%, like all the other skiving public-service "workers". Politicians should have their pay reduced in line with the increase in unemployment and bankruptcies...

Might see a bit of sensible action then!

At that age you learn a lot from your peers, you learn to be a social person. On scotland Boris should offer the SNP a referendum in say 5 years preceeded by a ttial run during which....All subsidies from rest of UK should be withdrawnScotland should fund its share of national debtBorder controls should be introduced between Scotland and rest of UK identical to those which now exist between EU and UKScotland should set be allowed to set anc fun its own tax and benefits policies but to the extent that these lead to additional borrowing there should be no BoE guarantees.Boris should defend this by pointing out this will ensure the people of Scotland know what they are voting for.

And a further thing: I rejoined the Conservative Party, after a gap of many years, for the specific purpose of voting for Boris - and that's just what I did. From a Brexit point of view I'm glad I did - he has done well.
