Barclay' s results better than expected. Increased profits from abroad but still encouraging for lloy. We should surf a little in their wake.

I think you are all in for a nasty shock.

It's not M Barnier who will sell us down the river...it's Doris who will do the dastardly deed.

stephen chambers22 Oct 2020 9:40PMBarnier doesn't realise that the EU's problems are not our problems, they're his.  He's trying to pretend they are ours.  Becoming a bit tough isn't it Michel, the tables have turned.its not Cricket22 Oct 2020 9:41PM@stephen chambersI don't think Barnier negotiating with us he's negotiating with the EU members to prevent anyone following.Adam Stirling22 Oct 2020 9:43PM@its not Cricket @stephen chambers Certainly looks like it. Why would Boris accuse them of not negotiating seriously over the past months and not being prepared to discuss legal texts if it wasnt trueFrabjous Day22 Oct 2020 9:46PM@Adam Stirling @its not Cricket @stephen chambersIt is true. The UK side have complained a number of times that Barnier's team have refused to look at texts.... Andrew Smith22 Oct 2020 9:56PMResponsibility?  To whom? The responsibility on the UK government has been to deliver a proper Brexit long before now; having delayed it must do so in full and without delay. The responsibility on the EU under its own rules (Constitution aka Lisbon Treaty et al) is to negotiate in good faith to achieve cooperation with neighbouring states.  It has failed from the beginning.Better Off Out.  Better WTO.... IMO
The NHS has Media aid - whatever it fails to do - the media will protect it
Why?
So many ppl are dying - phps early - but NHS failing.
Get an appointment to ask why this lump is so big - i am worried.
get an answer get a GP on full pay doing SFA
Time for change - educations needs to mean education not gender politics
GPs should not get paid for not undertaking their basic duties!

British food and drink to be given authenticity logos to stop foreign copy-cat versions after Brexit

Scotch whisky and Welsh lamb will be among the products granted special status by the logo

Tricky
small pop should have benefited - local know how - but IMO little - so just a waste of resources - sadly.
Pragmatism - phps never in politics - always blemished by greed and lack of understanding. Absolute need to have a grasp - as the scum comment illustrates.
Lost for ever then so is the management of the HOC.

I've always had the opinion that there are a much higher proportion of civil servants per capita in Wales than other parts of the UK, not sure if that's correct.

Wales has been part of England for 600 years. Devolution never made any sense except as part of a package for devolution to all the English regions. But the people of the North East gave that a big thumbs down so it did not proceed.

The thing is, the people of this country are too sophisticated politically to go for that. They know that, whatever the theoretical advantages of devolution to the regions in terms of increased democracy, in practice it would just be a gigantic waste of money, an unnecessary extra layer of government.

Devolution for Scotland is, of course, a very different issue.
