Garden Of England5 Oct 2020 7:59AMWho hasn't had a bout of cold or flu which has after effects that linger for quite a while? In which case why would COVID-19 be any different for some people? The other factor to consider is that of mental health. Most people will have had a reduction in their social interactions, which given that humans are social animals will have had an impact on mental health. This in turn will impact physical well-being.Whilst I don't doubt COVID-19 may have after effects has anyone considered the contribution of the long lockdowns to people's physical and mental well-being? Not to mention the effect of being bombarded with COVID-19 news.

Trump gets things done that's why they like him.We could do the same but for antiquated laws that should have been done away with centuries ago holding The U.K. back

....but he won't have people quaking in their boots.

no I don't suppose he will grahamite. Can't see Putin, Kim, and the fanatics in the Middle East being frightened of him either.

Personally feel safer with a leader who the RoW not only know but believe is prepared to press the button. Nuclear deterrent has worked well, so well it takes a pandemic to keep the numbers down now.

A top guy at BoE said last week no point of criteria has been met for negative rates.

Scruff1, yes the wheel dropped off there, my daughter would have been in tears watching that. She's Liverpool mad.

.....Covid cases are missed because an 'Excel spreadsheet maxed out and wouldn't update'.

No 10 should have continued with that other state of the art system used to forecast No Deal Brexit numbers - the back of an old envelope.

It would be ROFLMAO if it was not so serious.

I hope that those responsible are fired rather than be promoted.

John Redwood@johnredwood2hTime for government to send an even clearer law to the courts to tackle people smuggling. The courts keep finding against the Home Secretary as she takes on the illegal migration business.

Big difference between now and last time, cheshire pete.

Crooked was an evil and dangerous woman who had to be stopped. She was also personally loathsome, for which thank God.

Joe is like any old fellow out of the Springfield Retirement Castle, wondering who stole his slippers and when it's time for his pills - he might be a poor President but he won't have people quaking in their boots.

Gecko - "If Trump is incapacitated then it'd be Pence taking over.
Failing him, Nancy Pelosi. No thanks."

Mate, either answer my post correctly, or don't bother.

I clearly referred to both Trump AND Biden being incapacitated - ie. the US would have to decide on 2 new "credible" candidates. That indicates a longer term solution than the temporary Pence, or even Pelosi idea that you came up with.

I'm with nick regarding the morons who inhabit this site - save a couple.
