h/t to mro on the JTC thread for spotting this:

Point out to them that Bill Gates says one minute that the planet is hugely overpopulated (and the next, wants to vaccinate to save lives) and they won’t see the dissonance.

Isn’t it rather odd that those leaders who have rarely if ever shown any genuine interest in the common people seem happy to chuck away trillions in gdp allegedly to protect us from a virus that kills just 64 people in 100,000?

Yes – it’s one of many things that don’t make sense

Sydney Ashurst , Sunday, October 04, 2020, 09:41:D C B's opening line says it all:The Germans can't allow a "no deal" to take placeThe presidency of the Council of the European Union is responsible for the functioning of the Council of the European Union, the upper house of the EU legislature. It rotates among the member states of the EU every six months. The presidency is not an individual, but rather the position is held by a national government. It is sometimes incorrectly referred to as the "president of the European Union". The presidency's function is to chair meetings of the Council, determine its agendas, set a work programme and facilitate dialogue both at Council meetings and with other EU institutions. The presidency is currently, as of July 2020, held by Germany. You could say Chancellor Merkel is in charge.Selling cars is more important than catching fish. Germany breaks the level playing field rules regularly.

Bentoutofshape , Sunday, October 04, 2020, 08:45:Very informative as usual.Let's hope DCB is correct and super Canada will be the end point. Will the EU be able to lock it's Machiavellian anti competitive neo Marxist ideology into a box labeled common sense? I'm not holding my breath. One thing is certain, if Boris and the Tory's sell us out again they are finished as a political force and i fear democracy will suffer a fatal blow, many people will never vote again.... what's the point.

What the 'No Deal' noise has provided since 2016 is an opportunity of a lifetime to gain from GBP decline. The wealthy Brexiteers have now decided to leave.

Boris Johnson and Ursula von der Leyen have approved a further month of Brexit negotiations after agreeing that enough progress has been made to justify a last push to reach a deal on trade and security.

For the intellectually challenged on here - if 'No Deal' was the option of choice why would there still be a push for a deal after all these years? The answer is, apart from a handful of posters, a No Deal has never been a preferred choice.

The leering Biden and his cohort of haters has been despicable throughout this.

This is rubbish and I'm surprised you saw fit to reproduce it. Biden's conduct has been proper and gentlemanly in the hour of Trump's misfortune.

So says the man from Derby who supports Nottingham Forest .

Utricky trees

Yes, transport only leads to more centralisation which isn't good. If someone in a car asks me for directions for somewhere who are quite obviously from another town I make a point of challenging them as to whether their journey was really necessary.“

The club song is true , it really is Nottingham , is full off , fun , forest and fannies.

M2 - Hasn't lost control, just a 'failure in the counting system'.

But don't worry, the counting system is working fine for all those Exit predictions where exports will double on Jan 1. ;)

Have to agree with WB. I moved my pension fund from US Tech stocks to UK earlier this year. They had such a good run from 2015 and looked overvalued to say the least. I can see a great recovery in UK funds once Coronavirus and Brexit is over.

Yes I bet it was at about the same time as the Welsh Baader Meinhoffs were running around torching the holiday cottages of hardworking people looking for a bolt hole in wales to forget the stress of a fast moving international london lifestyle. It was you! and your lefty mates all probably living in a commune who were responsible for those foul acts of wickedness.
