Fantastic news! Tony Abbott is a clear-thinking Conservative with great strength of character; a true friend of Britain. We’re lucky to have him on board.

They should get him to sort out the illegal immigrant invasion while he’s at it.

He is a tough no nonsense bloke who had strong views on how to deal with the boat people.

I just hope the duplicitous slime in government and the uncivil service give him a free hand.

Just a small sample - there's much more of the same!

Chris Antrobus26 Aug 2020 7:46AMAll for a disease with less impact then the previous three pandemics in the last century, with a much larger population.https://www.ednh.news/20th-century-pandemics-more-deadly-than-todays-epidemics/Has socialism become so endemic that it has melted the minds of all who seek to Govern, why was nothing this suicidal and destructive ever tried before?John Condon26 Aug 2020 7:50AM@Chris AntrobusWe have become incredibly risk averse. They will reduce Car speed limits soon and probably end up with the farcical 'man with a red flag walking in front' situation..All of these increased safety steps have consequences. Wrapping ourselves in cotton wool will itself cost lives.

EX-AUSTRALIAN Prime Minister Tony Abbott is to be unveiled as Britain’s new trade deal supremo, The Sun can reveal.

Other reports suggest he won't be a Joint President but will have some other important role. Wonderful news if true.

You wouldn't find Tony Abbott cancelling the last night of the Proms!

From the BUY thread

======== Can you catch Covid-19 Twice ? --- YES YOU CAN ==========

Can't say that buywell is surprised and if any reader checks back on posts here they will see why.

THIS IS A BIGGY --- as it opens up so many nasty places and scenarios that could now play out

Scenarios that Authorities and Governments do not want their electorate to know about as it does not fit well with their narrative of late .

buywell posted several times with medical links to paper published that it was looking like immunity to SARS-CoV-2 was short .

Some papers said as low as 2 months --- several said 4 months ---- buywell can't think of one posted here that said 6 months. Hence from the link that follows about other cases of some people catching Covid-19 a second time --- months after being cleared of the first infection are VERY WORRYING.

So worrying that buywell is posting here because buywell thinks the advfn community needs to be aware of this --- Covid-19 MACRO --- YOU CAN CATCH IT TWICE

Which of course means a thrid and fourth time and som on.

Covid-19 leaves many people that acquire it damaged in some way ( various organs)
Usually those that have to go into Hospital and ICU's ( 20% and 5% of cases ).

buywells' concern which has as yet not been addressed by the BBC or media or Governments or their Health representatives is that catching this disease several times is likely to cause additive organ damage EVEN FOR THOSE PEOPLE that in the first instance did not have to go to Hospital at all ie 80% of cases.

Covid-19nhas mutated many many times now --- read the Hong Kong case
That guy caught a different mutated strain which produced different type antibodies

This is going to now happen IMO with increasing frequency till the powers that be have to stop feeding us BS and tell us the bad news --- and that is that quarantine is for the moment --- possibly 6 months to 12 months to 18 months --- the only definite solution to NOT CATCHING COVID-19 A SECOND TIME.

Not what many Ostrich head in the sand types want to know agreed

Not what many overly optimistic always look on the bright side types want to know either

But if you are a realist and want the true facts --- buywell hopes this post helps

Because folks need to plan and prepare for the worst in case it happens -- which is what you would expect Governments would do -- only they havn't

Daily Telegraph publishes letter calling on EU talks to be suspendedAugust 25, 2020By Brian MonteithFOLLOWING the not unexpected failure to achieve any meeting of minds at the future relationship negotiations between the UK and EU last week, Brexit-Watch.org drafted and co-ordinated signatories for a letter to the Daily Telegraph calling for the UK Government to suspend talks until the EU recognises the UK's sovereignty. The EU continues to conducts its negotiations as if the UK had not held a referendum, followed by two general elections and a European election that were won by the party pressing for the referendum's outcome of full sovereignty.Michel Barnier and the EU need to waken up to reality, the UK as a whole has decided to leave the EU and become a sovereign nation again. The negotiations need to be held on that basis. The inability to acknowledge this even when it comes to management of the UK's fishing grounds demonstrates its bad faith – and it should not go without comment. The letter appeared today. Letters to newspapers with multiple signatories are usually edited due to lack of space, so the letter and the full list of signatories are published here for avoidance of doubt.Brian Monteith, Managing editor Standing up to the EUDear SirNotwithstanding the entirely reasonable demand of the UK to be sovereign, negotiations for a trade deal with the EU have floundered on this point of principle. In his latest pronunciation, Michel Barnier has refused to continue discussing any aspects of a trade deal until the UK accepts continuity with EU state aid and its fisheries policy. In other words the EU requires the UK to sacrifice its sovereignty in order to get a deal. Faced with such an egregious demand the UK has no sensible course of action other than to announce discussion around fishing has now ended and that all other negotiations are suspended indefinitely.  It is axiomatic that, to get a good deal, the UK must be prepared to leave without one. Moreover, the Prime Minister was elected on a promise of taking back control of our laws, our borders, our cash and our fishing. It is time for him to fulfil his promise by declaring in favour of no-deal. And, given the wholly unreasonable position taken by the EU, he should take the opportunity to terminate the Withdrawal Agreement which holds no benefit, only ills, for the UK.Yours faithfullySignatories in alphabetical order

28p and sinking. No hope or glory here.

Looks like our Great British Lloyds Bank is suffering from this general fight of self-recrimination and wetness too.
