I think it is rather sad that certain morons on here are trying to defend Cummings. I told you some here do not have the ability to be objective. That is what makes them boys amongst men.

PFI as invented by John Major’s government.

Blair is a smart cookie. Too smart for the likes of de Pfeffle.

The clever capitalists amongst us realise that capitalism cannot exist without a certain degree of socialism. The financial crises should have been a lesson in that.

...like the industrialists capitalising on PFI projects in the Blair / Brown years making the right noises when it mattered and laughing their socks off on the way home at ripping off the public sector or, as their clients would see it 'providing value and delivery'.

IAN BIO24 May 2020 9:12PMA useful reminder of the macro-economic forces at work. My personal view is that this crisis will trigger a circling of the wagons in the free West against China and its malign influence. China has royally screwed us over opening up our markets by admitting them to the WTO despite their record of theft and market manipulation. That was done with the best of intentions, thinking that China would migrate towards western norms of behaviour. That has not happened and is clearly not going to happen. So the west needs to shut China out of its markets, defend its intellectual property by refusing to buy any chinese product based on it.There is a danger that this will push China into a military confrontation. But the world has changed. China can be destroyed overnight if it tries that.

Pierre

Well done Pierre, pleased you can look at these things objectively.

Just a couple of things: all because you oppose the current Tory government doesn't make you a Marxist and wanting more socialism doesn't stop you from being a capitalist.

The clever capitalists amongst us realise that capitalism cannot exist without a certain degree of socialism. The financial crises should have been a lesson in that.

Funny how the two most successful capitalists on this thread understand that and the wannabe capitalists have no idea.

Anyone seen the huge TV screen outside DC's house, with all the media .....why are the police not moving this lynching mob on

You can see why Caroline Flack took her own life...absolute disgrace

I just hope their 4yr old son is not in that house

...died with COVID, not because of it.

Do we know if there have been any deaths falsely attributed to COVID on the basis of bigging up the total number to try and embarrass the Tory Govt...blame it on COVID no-one will ever challenge it.

Whole issue has been politicised.

Other protected their children and followed gov advice.

I'm a boris and cummings supporter, but I'm not therefore going to let him live a privileged position while telling others to do differently.

When that scottish bint got the boot for a similar thing a few weeks ago, you lot were all baying for her blood. Jeeze, talk about polarised and unthinking.

Well if you believe the exponentially rising graphs the gov put out all over the tv many times to get us to stay home, then yes, he killed many people. You remember the ads, One person with covis gives it to 2.5 others (r=2.5), they give it to 6.5 people, who give it to 15.5, who give it to 40, then 98, then 244, then 610 and so on exponentially. Add in your own death rate for how many people he killed, 1% it's 7 after a week, 10% it's 70.

Remember this is from what the government told us, presumably what the experts told them.

The witch hunt for Cummings has exposed for all to see the spiteful, hateful nature of our left wing media. Had they any humanity or compassion they would accept he was acting to protect his child, but they haven't...deplorable.

Talk about a storm in a teacup, has someone died because of Cummings, have any Jewish people been attacked, has anyone lost money on their stocks?

So far nobody hurt, no Rabbi's complaining and Cummings has caused no stocks to drop in price.

In my book Cummings did what most Dad's would have done, he hasn't been anti-semitic and he hasn't stolen Minerve's money like Neil Woodford has.

Cummings for office!

jl - cummins will be gone within a week. Are you watching the breifing atm? I, and everyone else, thought Boris was a breath of fresh air and a different type of politician, honest, on the ball, no favouritism, for the people, etc etc etc ...... and yet atm, he's proving he's just the same as all politicians, totally untrustworthy, totally out of touch, totally accepts do as i say not as i do, looking after his own. The press won't let this go. It's a major and obvious error on his part - the more it goes on, the closer boris is to getting the boot. Lucky there's no opposition atm.

Shouldnt that always apply? I have always thought that if someone is off work then they should make some contribution. I have known too many who miss Mondays on a regular basis, who always have flu and never a cold and a thousand other issues usually inflicted upon the same culprits. 80% pay for no work seems more than fair to me. Health I guarantee would improve drastically.
