The biggest mistake most here are making is thinking it's only the lefties who want cummings to go. I'm afraid the fact is that many righties want him out too, and they're the ones who will eventually get him out. Tory supporters. Who won't be if it drags on much longer. Many tories are realising that boris isn't the breath of fresh air they thought he was - he's just the same as all politicians, and that is extremely disappointing to me. If he doesn't realise that soon, boris too will soon be history, kicked out by tories.

People misunderstand the role of Cummings.

He knows the general public are stupid, and he gets Boris elected, wins the referendum vote, then the general election.

He knows how to present simple messages that even the most stupid will obey.
His record is phenomenal.

'take back control'
'make brexit happen'.

He is a man training millions of dogs to do simple tricks and give them simple instructions.
Farage is the same, 'never overestimate the intelligence of the British public'.

But although he trains simple creatures, he is the trainer and not one himself.

I have a question for the ridiculously 'loyal' tories who are so black and white that the tories can do no ill, whatever it is.

Let's imagine for a moment the pandemic happened a few years ago. Teflon and Gordo told people they must stay at home to stop the pandemic spreading more - no going out for more than 30 minutes, no further than 2 miles from home. Say gordo thought his kid wasn't well, and his car was full of petrol, and he had a place to stay 300 miles away, so off he went.

My question is, would gordo be something of a hero for doing the best for his kid?
