Bailey's opinion or "advice" when all this is over, in a year time or less, will not count.

Without football rights distribution there would be just 2 leagues.

Someone earlier spoke about an exit strategy. I suggest that the first steps should include a return to construction, and damn soon at that!

Of course, social distancing needs to be enforced at construction sites.

Some of my neighbours run SLs and Mclarens on NHS money. That simply cannot be morally right. Personally I don't know how they can sleep at night. One of them runs a GP practice and thinks he is a businessman. No risk in that I'm afraid. A protected market with the rewards of a high-risk startup. Complete risk/reward dysfunction at the taxpayers' expense

too many people such as healthcare professionals and politicians calling for a long total lockdown to fight this virus.

Those that shout loudest will not suffer any financial hit from these actions. many others will face ruin.

A compromise must be found within 2-3 weeks.

JL5, M2's got it spot on! Professional investors are in the box seat BUT its a bit like the premiership or the NFL in america in as much as unless those at the foot of the league are looked after those at the top will soon realise they've got no one to play against.....we will just lock up the turnstiles and fk off home with the ball. Is that what you want?

Lots of know nots still think LLOY got a bailout.
AS u know HBOS got the cash and Daniels forced by dear gordon Brown took the stricken bank on board.
just as the PRA phps with BOE told banks to stop divi pays. There is a question - did the Govt know??
The whole scenario is madness - and the media is shameless.

Min.., more profit to be had here or in TW? Or about the same risk/reward. I just feel banking will come back faster, although talking to some friends in the building trade, they are super confident for the future.

Makes sense to me.

"One care manager was deeply concerned that residents and families are being pushed to sign the forms.

The CCG guidance even provides a suggested script for GPs to use in conversations with residents and families - part of which says "frail elderly people do not respond to the sort of intensive treatment required for the lung complications of coronavirus and indeed the risk of hospital admission may be to exacerbate pain and suffering".

It goes on: "We may therefore recommend that in the event of coronavirus infection, hospital admission is undesirable.""

When younger, otherwise healthy, people are foregoing hospital treatment, including cancer treatment, then that makes total sense.

I am fed up of the attack on dividends and the plight of people that are totally reliant on their investment income to live off. There has been no attempt to support people by the government that are in this situation. Everybody else whose income has been impacted has been covered by the furlough arrangements or other handouts and means of support. I can see no reason why it should be different for those reliant on dividends. I have started a petition and if you feel as strongly as I do and wish to sign it, it would be greatly appreciated. If you can forward it to others that would also be appreciated and post on other boards that you own shares in.

Thanks

Gary
