I'm not bothered if the Tories win. I will manage the result. In fact if the Tories win, it will probably improve my net-worth about £250K in a few days.

I can't lose. I've told you all this before.

BBC should be ashamed of itself putting the £105M lottery winner in the headlines as if it is something we should all be celebrating. Frankly I find it very distasteful and vulgar and every time we do these things a little bit of humanity dies. Humanity will destroy itself, I'm pretty convinced of that, capitalism and human greed will be to blame.

You can see the ones who feel personally offended by what I say. Perhaps it is because I speak the truth. They pick up on typos because that's all they can do. ;)

UK PMs and their inflation rates from 1964

Harold Wilson 64 -70 Annual Inflation 3.3% - 6.4%
Edward Heath 70 -74 AI 6.4% - 16.04%
Harold Wilson 74- 76 AI 16.04 - 16.54 (24.24% in 75)
Callaghan 76 - 79 AI 16.54 - 13.39
Thatcher 79 - 90 13.39 - 9.46 (17.99% in 80)
Major 90 - 97 9.46 - 3.14
Blair 97 - 07 3.14 - 4.29
Brown 07 - 10 4.29 - 4.61
Cameron 10 - 16 4.61 - 1.74

Probably have to give them a couple of years to allow for previous PMs policies to unwind.

More interesting to me is how low inflation has remained since QE. Also how relatively low wage increases are with low unemployment rate.

However any Degree worth its salt should give any employer the confidence that the individual holding it is 'capable' in absorbing relevant 'new' information, wether the Degree is specifically relevant or not.

Unfortunately a lot of degrees nowadays give no such confidence.

Higher Education is not just about getting familiar with the subject you study, it is about honing your skills to learn, think for yourself and be independent in mind. For whatever reason, whether Labour pushed you into industry without fully developing your minds, the result is what it is. Conservative voters are generally poorly educated and that correlates with generally lower intelligence and wisdom. Same with Brexiters.

Time and time again this has been proven by facts.

I'm sorry you find yourself in the wrong demographic. Generally the more intelligent folk find themselves accepting reality and not tabloid spin and will vote Labour or Liberal. Tories have really done nothing for you. They just brainwash the gullible, which is you.

LOL Max!

But is that really any worse than the super-extreme PC seen at real universities these days (with Oxford and Cambridge some of the very worst)?

The reason for continuous assessment...the official reason..is that girls dont like exams.

I'm not surprised that's the real reason but I am surprised they would openly admit it.

I agree that 'times have changed' in the 'real' outlook for many Graduates after a 1st Degree. For so many that only parks you on another path toward some other professional qualification. However any Degree worth its salt should give any employer the confidence that the individual holding it is 'capable' in absorbing relevant 'new' information, wether the Degree is specifically relevant or not.
