The rich should be tax free. Especially massive commercials.

All the low income plebs should be paying 50% tax to cover dentistry etc.

What the top 5% contribute as a tax percentage is completely and utterly irrelevant. It doesn't matter if they contribute 95% or 20% it needs to be more!

They make too much money off the back of society, time to give some more back.

Obviously the ploy to confuse the gullible worked on you!

LOL

Pretty flattish to me:

British banks approved 41,219 mortgages for new house purchase in October 2019, the fewest since March and below market expectations of 43,100, data from trade association UK Finance showed. Approvals of loans secured on dwellings for remortgaging decreased to 31,119 from 32,458 in September, and those for other purposes declined to 8,402 from 8,968.

There seems to be a direct corralation between the value of my shares and each Labour car crash interview. The markets definately think a Tory result with brexit is better than a Labour remain one. High pensioner turn out to protect their pensions, property and Isa savings. Irony... it is the younger people's taxes that pay the current state pension bill. Muhahaha!

The thick idiot cannot even say he is sorry to the Jewish community and that he is dealing with it, whether he means it or not is immaterial, its what needed to be said to head it off at the pass. No common sense whatsoever. ISIS leader, would you shoot him, the answer JC is yes, because that's what people expect to hear.

To be fair Bob, I think you are right.

Policies needed so when we leave we are better offBy JOHNREDWOOD | Published: NOVEMBER 27, 2019The government has already carried out two of the essential policy changes for us to be better off. The first is to switch the aim of policy to the promotion of prosperity and growth. The second is to make selective increases in public sector employment with teachers, police and doctors, and to expand worthwhile public investment. The third must be to cut taxes in a Brexit budget. In a fast moving global economy capital and talent moves to the places with the more attractive tax rates. The UK government has been correct to lower our Corporation Tax rates at a time when the USA, India and others are doing the same. It is also necessary to have competitive personal Income Tax and transaction tax rates. The planned cuts in National Insurance will boost personal incomes and provide a stimulus to consumption. The UK needs to lower Stamp Duties and CGT on property transactions.  Lower rates will also bring in more revenue by encouraging more capital into the UK and fostering more transactions. The UK needs to reduce the top rate of Income Tax to the 40% that prevailed during most of Labour's time in office. That would help resolve the issue of doctors' pay.The government should implement its planned cuts to tariffs on imports from non EU sources. All components needed for Uk manufacture should be tariff free. All foodstuffs that we are unable to grow for ourselves should also be tariff free. The UK should expand its freeport strategy and ally them to enterprise zones where it is easy to get permissions and support to base a new or expanding business.

Radioactive food from Fukushima will be heading to UK under EU plans

Bill Gardner Mark Porter
26 NOVEMBER 2019 • 9:30PM

Radioactive food grown near the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan will be sold to British shoppers next month under controversial EU plans.

Controls over radioactivity levels in produce from Japan following the 2011 disaster are to be lifted by Brussels as part of the world’s biggest ever trade deal.

It means that British shops will soon be selling goods from the disaster-hit area including baby food, breakfast cereals, fish, crustaceans, meat and green tea. Tests in recent years have shown faint traces of radioactive substances including caesium 134 and 137.
