If Boris committed to cutting foreign aid by half he'd get all the Brexit Party vote back and sweep the country. It would be a hugely popular policy as well as being morally right. Wtf are we giving aid to a country with its own space programme?

M2We as Europe, never try to control immigration and we know why Brussels are against to that. They hate (because it's difficult to control) the England to English, Italy to Italian's and so on.Immigrants come to Calais through Italy Greece Bulgaria.. after the fiasco in Germany Brussels decade to take control. We pay 6 billion taxpayers money to Turkey if not more and what happens next? Turkey start a war against Kurdish people, creating more misery and immigration. What Europe and Brussels did? F#cking nothing!!...k38You ignore reality in that controls to the UK are not going to change that much and if they become more stringent then illegal immigrant numbers increase. You are attempting to control the uncontrollable. As I say, legalise as much as you can and solve the problems abroad so that claims to asylum and economic immigration reduce.

Killing foreign aid budgets is another area which is just going to make things worse.

Society is generally stupid, it will never learn.

No one said we don't need immigrants. All countries are benefits from immigration but what we witnessed till now and all over Europe it's bad management of immigration. Control means proper paperwork, numbers and time limit. Europe has 500 million population. The rest of the world 6.5 billion. 3 billions are living under poverty and all of them want to immigrate to Europe.

If you lose influence in the EU, you lose influence on what is done at the EU borders. If immigrants get to Calais, no barrier is going to stop them. The efficiency of success is irrelevant when you are desperate - as we have just witnessed.

This country needs immigrants. Best to have it legal and on a piece of paper, accept the inevitable, stop lying and pretending and do it properly. Unless the pensioners here propose picking strawberries and cleaning the toilets themselves.

Trump making another clown comment yesterday about issues in the ME. The US created most of these problems over decades, along with the UK. A bit fresh saying the locals have to police the place themselves when they have created the hotbed of violence and war by proxy.

Until these issues are addressed properly by governments and society - and they are 'our' issues regardless of where they are and where we are, we will always have problems. When will the insular numpties realise we are a small planet and what goes around comes around. Being insular nationalists doesn't cut the mustard anymore.

Brussels is in another planet far away from parliament! With power away from home we have no control to anything anymore. At least here we can argue and press the government to change strategy and laws, we can vote the ones whom we think (right or wrong) they represent us.

Sure, this country is has been effected too from the 'Brussels cancer' ...my point exactly. Losing control of immigration is bad for the economy, bad for the workers and good for the few...and the funny part of the story is labour and JC who is talking bolloks about working conditions and rights. Surely they do not represent them in the slogan 'for the many, not the few'...The 39 who died their lifes was going to be (slaves) hell here. We all know this. We hear a lot about the condition and how they survive most of them in UK. LADESITE &"They have lost their countries to low wages"I suggest, k38, that you look a little closer to home but outside of London and the SE...............

Pierre

Hey, I actually confess that my English and spelling is atrocious.

At least I am aware of my limitations, unlike you Pierre. ;)

What was all this about being pleasant to people yesterday?

There you go, see, I make a friendly post about Seville, and look at your post in return:

"We could look forward to pearls such as Lundun is what it is. Reo de ganero is what it is Bennydorm is what it is."
