With internet reviews there is an art to sorting the wheat from the chaff. I accept that not everyone has that art which is why I wrote that consumer protection legislation had been "largely" superseded by the internet, not that it had been "wholly" superseded. I stand by that 100%.

More details from Scotland's highest court where anti-Brexit campaigners are arguing Boris Johnson's new deal is unlawful.

They say it would keep Northern Ireland substantially within the customs union of the EU.

Their lawyer, Aidan O’Neill QC, tells the Court of Session in Edinburgh the deal breaches the terms of an amendment to an act sponsored by supporters of a hard Brexit.

Now to deal with the other issues you raise, Minerve.

"Consumer rights - these have largely been made redundant by the internet. Read the reviews and if a lot of them say "this is garbage, don't touch it with a bargepole" or "worked for a week then packed up, avoid" or similar, you know what to do."

I don't know if it has crossed your mind but many product reviews on the internet are sponsored. Same with news. Besides, many consumer rights for products and services bought are not addressed by some loser trying to make a living on YouTube.

"Environmental issues - the continent, especially Germany, is in the iron grip of warmist fanatics. Getting away from their evil influence will actually be one of the big benefits of Brexit."

I'm not even going to bother on that one. Is it damp in your cave this morning, you are a little grouchy? LOL

Apparently we have better workers rights ,for example the minimum wage. Some EU countries have a low minimum wage also we should make our own laws to protect worker rights. If Labour ever gets in ,they can change that anyway

CtRThe 'mistake' Ace is making is he is talking about the people not the Mps. Yes, we all want Brexit to happen and yes we are all fed up. The ones who are responsible for not having left so far are all remain Mps, labour and lib dems!!A 'white lies' from Ace...;))

I am going by whatever JRM says. Great bloke. Rare honest politician"

I'll trust Redwood/Cash's assessments more than Moggster myself.

I agree. Much as I like Rees Mogg he is doubly compromised. 1. He eventually voted for Mrs May's deal and that's a serious black mark whatever argument he used to justify it. 2. He is now a senior member of the government and thus not a free agent.

Personally I'd like to hear from Steve Baker or Mark Francois, but Redwood/Cash would be fine.

"In a free society workers' rights are set out in the contract between employer and employee. It is not a matter for government meddling."

I agree with Alphorn, extraordinary post.

Society is judged by how it protects its most weakest and vulnerable. I wouldn't want to be in a society run by you grahamite2. It would be miserable for the ones who find themselves without gift or are unfortunate.

You know the most value you gain from being successful is when you use that gift to balance out the equation with those less fortunate than you. Whether you do that, and how you go about doing that is your choice. At the end of the day, building up the size of your wallet is a zero legacy game.

What is it you Brextremists do not get? The leave side have prevented Brexit (ERG, DUP, etc. and yes, your hero Boris) not people who voted remain - most of us (strangely enough about 50% of my circle) wanted it done quickly i.e. within a year and we are all, now, just heartily fed up of the whole stupidity continuing"

Claims Brexiteers are dense yet this halfwit is oblivious to the rear guard action Remain MPs,and others via their lawfare, have spent the last 3.5years engaged in thwarting and overturning Brexit.

Then has the cheek to claim it's the fault of ERG....

Remainers most certainly did not want it done quickly you liar

Pathetic and dishonest.
