The EU. do not want no deal.

I think the new Tory leader and PM with his new cabinet will get no Tory mp's voting against any deal they agree on.
It is in the end game, and MP's will know they will be crushed at an election if they are divided.

It reminds me of Blairs original vote on the Iraq war.
Labour had been out of power for years, and to stop the war they had to defeat their own leader.

No choice but to tow the line from now on

I suspect that the EU will have some harsh words come the review in June. Who knows where it will end,

Parliament- 'we can't leave without a deal'

EU- Oh yes you can...

Parliament - We can't its illegal

EU- On no its not..

Remainers...Its all thick Brexiteers fault

Brexiteers - Its all stupid remainers fault--especially that towrag Hammond

EU- Its both your fault...

Have you noticed how some of the candidates are still fantasising about negotiating a better deal with the EU.

And still some dream of suspending parliament so that we can crash out. They think, this small number of MP's, that you can close parliament of circumvent Bercow.

unbelievably stupid and such poor judgement.

No deal is impossible.
Parliament cannot be closed against its will.

Simple, they are dreaming.

The BBC will never, ever be shut down. Not while it's willing to give any politician who's a bit short £750 for a quick interview.

She should have sacked Hammond long ago. He single handadly destroyed the motor industry and has successfully had Brexit blamed. BBC in overdrive. Now we need Boris to promise to kill the licence fee and he will romp home at the next GE.

Indeed Boris should promise that no one should be forced to buy a TV licence unless they want to watch BBC and choose to.

Max - he might say that it is not illegal but to close down parliament is not the greatest show of democracy. Now where is that short button again?

Of course it isn't illegal. Who could have said it was?

I reckon the picture is getting clearer.

Boris will win and he will deliver Brexit using May's deal with a few cosmetic tweaks.
He will sell it to a war weary parliament.
That is how most wars end, inconclusive and messy.

This time he will get it through.
Even the ERG dare not force an election.

Minerve - I find the centre of London impressive. Particularly the detail of the finish and landscaping around the Thames business areas. Great improvement how the new builds and refurbs are finished.
I understand btw that there are huge differences in areas; I classify myself as a Londoner, South of the Thames to be precise. But credit where credit is due for the centre.

best Scotland gets another referendum...best they go their own way..I come from the east end of Glasgow, where I was brought up average life expectancy wasn't that great.

A bit like London rich parts and poor parts.

Dundee also has it very bad, rich parts and poor parts

Once the SNP get into power , rather than have to do everything that is dictated by Westminster and so have their hands tied.

All will be well.

It's shocking graham, however the woes of London are created by London.

People talk of the EU being broken with a single currency when equating Germany and it's economy to the likes of Romania, however fiscal policy is as screwed up in this country as how can we compare London to Scotland or Wales or Northern England ??

But they have a roof over their heads, a job, can afford to eat, buy clothes, have a holiday and stand a chance of having a positive outlook with good self-esteem.

They are not a priority for tax payers funds.

That one's 10 grand a year of taxed income, isn't it, mikemichael?

You're making my point for me. £50,000 a year is a good, solid income, certainly, but it is not wealth beyond the dreams of avarice. People on that sort of money do not have it easy and do not deserve to be victimized.

£900 a month, call it £13,500 a year of taxed income, just to put a roof over your head. Not a house, not even a flat, just a room in a flatshare.

What do you make of basic costs like that, LADESIDE?

g2; All manner of savings vehicles could be viewed as governmental "hand-outs" in differing legal contexts. ISA's are and have been for Stock holders a slow but sure means of accumulation at a minimum of cost. All Hail!
