After days away from here, it's sad to see, as always, posts by Minerve dominating. He must stink. Have 10 minutes away Minerev and have a shower. Work up to having an hour off to walk in the grounds of whatever institution you are in.

From the media...we are all doomed...

A no-deal Brexit would be “absolutely catastrophic”, a boss at Airbus has said, warning future investment in the UK could be under threat.

Katherine Bennett, senior vice president at the aerospace firm, also rounded on Brexiteers by insisting “there is no such thing as a managed no-deal”.

Her comments were aimed at Tory Leavers who have suggested the economic pain of a no-deal Brexit could be limited by striking bilateral deals with individual EU countries to minimise disruption.

Bennett also revealed that the company had spent tens of millions of euros preparing for a no-deal Brexit that may never happen.

If recent opinion polls show most now prefer to stay in the eu, then surely we should keep having polls until they show what all sensible people want. That's the way these days.

If flibmi or whatever it's called has gone bust due to Brexit, then will the record lloy results also be due to Brexit?

When billionaires take their money abroad to avoid tax they are monsters.

When much poorer folk take their money abroad and return with their over priced badge snob german cars - well that is OK.

British exchequer loses either way but hey ho that is peoples' rights.

Aren't rights wonderful with no obligations.

NOW HERE COMES THE BREXIT SPLITS!

Stop the music! The meeting of the Brexit Splits' club will now come to order!

Rees-Mogg, please read rule no 377 from the Brexit Splits' Club code of conduct book.

Rule 377 says that members of the Brexit Splits' club with not engage in any snowball fights in the middle of July.

Oh that's a silly rule, nobody gets into snowball fights in July, there isn't any snow!

I know it, that's why it is such an easy rule to obey!

And that's why you are out of order!

THE SUN ON SUNDAY SAYS No Deal Brexit would be far smoother than Project Fear

scaremongers would have us believe

Project Fear scaremongers have been warning that Britain faces complete chaos

under a No Deal Brexit, but the hysterical predictions are nonsense...

Under their apocalyptic scenario, planes would be grounded and lorries barred from

the continent, resulting in dire shortages of food and medicine.

Irish PM Leo Varadkar even said he would ban British jets from flying over Irish airspace in the event of a No Deal.

But key documents quietly slipped out by the EU chiefs have debunked these hysterical predictions as the nonsense they always were.

They show scheduled flights and normal road traffic should be uninterrupted even if this country leaves without an agreement, as long as the UK returns the favour.

So in contrast to Remoaner propaganda, a No Deal Brexit would actually be far smoother than the doom-merchants would have us believe.

And Brexiteers who argued EU chiefs would ultimately act in their own self-interests by minimising disruption are proved right.

These crucial preparations have only been taken seriously in Brussels because the prospect of a No Deal has become increasingly realistic.

So the idea of taking No Deal off the table, as many MPs are demanding, would be madness.

It is precisely the fear of such a scenario that is forcing the Eurocrats to take our negotiations seriously.

Poikka

"I actually watched Minerve's Rock Lobster - weird and shows a weird mind. It's a bit worrying that they allow I/net access in the institution."

You obviously lived a very sheltered life in the 80s. This was cult music in the university and polytechnic unions back then. I went to a few parties held by the nurses at Cardiff and they loved this song - nymphomaniacs all of them. LOL

Alphorn. Very droll, but like many I would never want a 924 or a 944, but these Porsche models are now classics. Also they weren't as bad as some would have.

The post was more about the drivel posted than Porsche cars.

If you want a Porsche, a 10% delivery or tariff is not going to worry you.
