The people will at last be listened to, says FREDERICK FORSYTH

IT IS always pleasant to draw a bow at a venture and later observe the arrow has hit the target gold.

Some weeks ago as the pro-EU fear campaign hotted up I pointed out that there was

nothing much wrong with trading worldwide along World Trade Organisation (WTO)

lines and that the No Deal intended panic was based on a huge lie. Now it seems

more and more pundits and opinion-formers are coming to the same view. The BBC,

which is now a bought-and-paid-for propaganda organisation, sticks to its

passionate pro-EU line. But several newspapers have had a big rethink.

And the May Government is still lying to us in order to rally support for the

scuttle the lady brought back from her shuttles to Brussels for two wasted years.

For one thing it has still not published the full legal opinion of Attorney

General Sir Geoffrey Cox on the true terms concealed inside those 585 pages of

lawyer-speak. Why not? If the so-called Settlement which Mrs May urges Parliament

to endorse was truly a success she would have everything to gain from full

disclosure. The reason for the secrecy is that it is a total failure in which she

conceded everything of value.

Then there is Caroline Bell. Who she? Well, a pseudonym actually. A senior civil

servant who has taken on herself to reveal that in truth plans to work the WTO

trading system to our advantage are hugely developed and almost ready to go.

Meaning NO DEAL is a fraud.

In a free country you'd think that anyone with experience of a problem would be

allowed to write about it under their own name. So why must she hide? To save her

career from ruin, it would seem. The only logical explanation is that, from deep

inside the establishment she fears she would be ruined if the high and the mighty

discovered that one of their own had actually broken cover and told us the truth.

'That's perhaps because you don't know about computer architecture and how it stores data including dates and date ranges. Google it.'

Ah I see, no explanation at all.

Fyi, y2k was nothing to do with hardware, the hardware architecture, the byte size, or exclusively simulators.

It was amost purely software, usually old, which only allowed 2 characters for the date, hence the possible problems going past 99.

i hope this helps. I thought everyone knew that.

Youths have killed innocent other youths for their trainers, the way they look,

dress, dance, supporting the wrong football team etc etc

Excuses are just that!! or certain types creating jobs for themselves "mental

health issues" practitioners.....

Yes, the media are totally out of line at the moment, look at the poor people named in the Gatwick drone incident, they were named and shamed before any evidence had even been presented, arrested for no reason and then it transpired that they were 100% innocent and not even present in the area at the times of the sightings.

What would have happened if someone who's flight had been cancelled had decided to seek retribution ??

Yes, it's quickly becoming a Police state where any anonymous complaint or tip off is being used to apprehend and detain people without any evidence.

What about the guy who was shot dead in a bungled Police operation at the weekend ??

It's a Very worrying trend that's being set at the moment..........

I wouldn't label him scum at all, yet. Innocent until proven guilty in the court of law remember. I can hardly see someone stabbing another person to death in 3 minutes being unprovoked and/or without the presence of mental health issues.

Of course, in today's world witch hunts are quite popular. Burn him at the stake and feed the poor quality meat to the peasants. LOL

"makes no sense to me whatsoever in terms of architecture and y2k."

That's perhaps because you don't know about computer architecture and how it stores data including dates and date ranges. Google it.

'All to do with the limitations of a limited number of bits to process with and its simulation of real life data'

makes no sense to me whatsoever in terms of architecture and y2k. Are you saying only simulators of various types were vulnerable to y2k problems? Why does the byte size matter at all for y2k?

All to do with the limitations of a limited number of bits to process with and its simulation of real life data. You should already know that having been to Cambridge & Harvard.

I'll try and keep a straight face!........
