UtyINV, see where you are coming from but because LLOY is a bell weather for UK plc, Brexit is as you say relevant and there is a clear link between the share price and the ups and downs of Brexit and leave / remain. Would add that I've held LLOY since before shafted by Brooon and will continue to hold now in ISA for divis and growth, eventually. Also try and trade the dips with CFDs.

For me stonedyou , it's all about Democracy. All the politicians agreed when we voted. Unfortunately some have changed their minds, nothing more than treason. If they do not carry out the will of the people in this country I can see total anarchy here, like the yellow vest in France but much worse like this country

You seem to have a typical English trait where it`s distasteful to argue..

"One doesn`t lower ones self to such demeaning discourse" We may interact with the

lower orders, what,what!!

I give a report how we were doing Monday UtyINV . If you look on the other post I put on Lloyds you can see the latest Brokers grades on us. On this post I'm afraid it's people who want to Remain in the EU or Leave.

Has this bb become a forum for political canvassing or is it still a Lloyd’s bb?

How many times do I open the bb to see investors views on Lloyd’s only to pick up constant chants of some posters to repeat their desire to leave the EU or the few to remain. Many people in this Country are sick and tired of Brexit and want it finished either way. Many want this bb to discuss the financial fundamentals of Lloyd’s, helping ( together with information and views from other areas) to galvanise an opinion on a particular stock.

What will happen to all these posters when Brexit is concluded? Where did they come from?

I am sure there are many many bb’s and blogs that are giving a running commentary on the political Subject of Brexit but surely it isn’t right to highjack a Financial bb designed and created to discuss views on Lloyd’s Banking Group shares.

I accept that many will say “ but Brexit will affect Lloyd’s share price” yes it might in the short term ( 1-2 years) but many posters on this bb are long term to medium term investors in the Company. There are a few Day Traders who gamble on CFD etc but in the main the term investor means you are putting money into a Company by buying its stock ( with real cash) in the Confidence it will deliver a return for you.

Reading day after day about the 40 points why we should leave or the hatred directed at our PM or the “end of the Conservative Party” is IMO irrelevant and over the top in comparison to the main subject area ie Lloyd’s Banking Group Financial discussion especially as many on this bb are more interested in the results due Feb rather than 29th March.

Please keep your 40 point list handy stonedyou as a reminder of the horrendous EU that Parliament is conspiring to try and stop us leaving. LEAVE and WTO. NO DEAL.

From the media...UK perceived as a soft touch...hence they keep on coming...

A people smuggler has boasted of getting 300 migrants across the Channel to the UK.

The Afghan fixer named Anam told undercover reporters that he helps set up speedboat crossings to the UK for £6,000 per person in a speedboat.

He said he can also set up the crossing in a riskier three-metre dinghy for the lower price of £2,500.

But he claimed he didn’t take the payments himself - and instead they had to be made via family or friends to an Indian restaurant in west London.

He said he could virtually make a guarantee of residency in Britain to would-be migrants because the police ‘never send you back’ even if they ‘catch you’.

Anam, 28, is based in Calais and said he has already been booted out of the UK twice.

Using a British mobile phone to run the illegal operation, he claims to have helped 300 migrants reach these shores.

CONSERVATIVE PARTY = QUISLING PARTY

Or CONSERVATIVE PARTY RIP

I have no confidence in this Withdrawal Agreement.

And maybe 17 million other people also have no confidence in this Withdrawal Agreement.

Do the maths. It is the end of the Conservative Party.

Conservative Party RIP

Or DUMP MAY.

We will no longer vote for the QUISLING PARTY

Spread the message.

These tweets from Tom ND's Twitter account show how Parliament is now finally getting down to business:

Quote
This particular fusillade significantly speeds up the timetable for Plan B, stripping No10 of any ability to run down the clock. (Highly likely to pass if selected by Bercow later today, which of course it will be).

Hours after their 1st success, the anti-no deal alliance strikes again. Parliament is taking back control of Brexit from an incapacitated Govt, inch by inch. And fascinatingly, it’s the dispossessed back-benches on both sides of the House doing it.

Significant Amdt to the business of the House motion from Grieve & x-party group which in the event of the deal being defeated on 15 Jan would ensure that the PM has to come back for a further meaningful vote within 3 sitting days, rather than the 21+7 sitting days under S.13.
