12/12/2018 19:57 | Unbelievably, the loony is refusing to say how she voted on her own future! Where are the men in white coats when you need them? | grahamite2
12/12/2018 19:55 | careful 12 Dec '18 - 19:32 - 239648 of 239651 It must be the Worlds worst job. Hated by all. No, that's just her. Most PMs are liked by quite a lot of people. | grahamite2
12/12/2018 19:42 | I don't get that careful from where I sit. I read that they are more puzzled by the domestic in-fighting. Even the Swiss have focussed on the Tory Party turmoil. Strange times but is expected. Just read this thread!!!! | alphorn
12/12/2018 19:40 | .. Italy, France, Greece and more.. Europe is in chaos. I follow euro politics I live them on my travel around Europe, not from the beach (lol) The backstop has a role to play.. We know from the past Brussels are fan's of a unite Ireland and that will happens only if Ireland break away from UK and stay in EU AS ONE. Now, Brussels by taking more power of UK, for example, - pay, obey the rules but not have a say - they knew people of UK will not except the deal.. That lives hard Bretix and Scotland next to break up next. They don't want a strong government in UK but a market to sell their goods. | k38
12/12/2018 19:35 | Listening to the mood music from the EU. I get the impression that they are losing patience. If they say sod off, no deal, and keep your £9bn per year for the next 4. They would suffer, we would be ruined. ..be careful, do not tweak the tiger by its tail. | careful
12/12/2018 19:32 | Agree Alphorn. Who would want all of that aggro? It must be the Worlds worst job. Hated by all. | careful
12/12/2018 19:29 | I am not and never have been a fan of Theresa May. But my goodness I have to give her credit for the effort she has put in with her travel to and fro to see the various players. Well done for effort whatever happens tonight. | alphorn
12/12/2018 19:28 | Saw Heseltine calling for a second referendum if the deal goes down. An odd situation, many people think that it would be undemocratic not to allow a second referendum, now that we know more. Others think it would be undemocratic to have one. Ardent Brexiteers want the original referendum decision to be frozen in time, an irrevocable decision forever. They fear another referendum would rob them of their dream. Remainers hope that they would win a second referendum with a record turnout and a wide margin. This would be conclusive and destroy the political hope of Brexit MP,s. but another strong leave vote would have the opposite effect. | careful
12/12/2018 19:24 | k38. Don't believe what you read. The Italians are masters of the chaos theory. They have to have chaos to run the country. This out a few minutes ago - Italy promises budget cuts to avoid EU sanctions. Italian prime minister makes concessions. The UK are amateurs when it comes to chaos, it is not their style, and the chances of being burnt are high. Make hay due to the stupidity of others. | alphorn
12/12/2018 19:20 | Alp can you explain to me why so many countries are happy to leave Brussels ?Why so many people from all over Europe (even Germans) are unhappy with the way Brussels running thinks ?We know the benefits for example Russia, but the negatives are overweight the benefits | k38
12/12/2018 19:17 | k38 - you are imagining things. Why on earth would anyone, other than some north of the border, wish to break up the UK??? | alphorn
12/12/2018 19:02 | ?? Alphorn, it's not my wish. I am against for UK to break up. That's the wish of Merkel!! I DO NOT SUPPORT the way brussels (merkel) controlling the euro countries. There is no democracy and this has been proven by the way they are dealing with Bretix. | k38
12/12/2018 18:53 | exlogicalad, you are right these are cheap (assuming a recession isn't round the corner) but am just trading at the mo ;) I think until March 29th there's IMHO going to be plenty of volatility and therefore further opportunities to trade this. I'm just trying my luck at the end of the day. | smurfy2001
12/12/2018 18:51 | Brussels will love to break up UK and we all know who's going to benefit from the break up. | k38
12/12/2018 18:41 | The Labour party has nothing to offer to the country now or in 2022. But,the opportunistic JC&company will do anything to get in power. | k38
12/12/2018 18:39 | I hope Theresa May loses because it would SHUT UP these stupid idiots who keep going on about a second referendum for good.....That`s all they have got to shout about......Democracy ain`t in their brain or remit | stonedyou
12/12/2018 18:23 | The DUP have also stated at a meeting this afternoon that will not back her deal. | maxk
12/12/2018 18:16 | The UK prime minister made a last minute appeal for support at an emotional meeting of backbench MPs. She is understood to have told them she will not lead the party into the next scheduled election in 2022 - but wants to stay on to deliver her Brexit deal. What, the deal that everyone but everyone recognizes as the worst of all possibilities? The deal that's so popular she had to put off a vote on it, a vote she swore blind would not be put off? | grahamite2
12/12/2018 18:12 | If the bookies think Theresa May will win, their odds would be a lot less generous!!!!!! | stonedyou
12/12/2018 18:07 | Brussels are afraid in case of a new leader and PM, UK will walk out of Brussels without (hard Bretix) a deal | k38
12/12/2018 18:04 | LatestBrussels after admitting the deal is no TMs but theirs and this is how far Brussels will go, sent their best wishes to TM in support. | k38
12/12/2018 18:03 | The meeting ended early. May promising to stand down avoids a leadership election. My money is on; Mays deal being defeated. followed by May calling a second referendum. No hard no deal Brexit, that would not get through parliament. | careful
