Reform’s manifesto
This week it was the turn of Reform UK to unveil their manifesto. While prompting a number of questions, the proposals on immigration certainly showed intent and determination. The main proposals were:

Freeze all non-essential immigration
Return immigrants arriving in small boats to France and leave the ECHR
Bar student dependants
End immediate access to benefits
Raise the National Insurance to 20% for foreign workers
The ban on student dependants and the dependants of care workers is, of course, already in place. And unlikely to be reversed by a future Labour government (if they have any sense).

The proposed 'freeze' on non-essential immigration and zero net migration is a stronger stance from Reform (we believe necessarily so) than either of the two main parties. It is the sort of firm policy commitment that is essential if the catastrophic (a word we use regularly and advisedly) levels of immigration. However, we are also mindful of future migration from Hong Kong if China were to embark on another crack-down should Hong Kongers stir again. Remember, there are 3-5 million British National Overseas (BNOs) passport holders. Meanwhile, there is also Ukraine. What will happen once the fighting stops? How likely is it that the c200,000 who have come here will return to their homeland? Or, as we have said before, are they just as likely to be joined by those they left behind?

HEZBOLLAH ATTACKS KEY ISRAELI MILITARY SITES WITH DRONES, ROCKETS (VIDEO)

Hezbollah launched on June 21 several drones and multiple salvos of rockets at key sites of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) near the Lebanese border.

In two separate statements, Hezbollah said that it attacked the Israeli Ras Naqoura naval site with a “squadron” of drones and launched a single drone at an artillery position of the IDF in the area of Zaoura. In four other statements, the group announced rocket attacks against the border sites of Ruwaisat al-Qarn, al-Ramtha, al-Sammaqa and Zabdin.

The attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip and in response to recent Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, Hezbollah noted in its statement.

The IDF confirmed that several rockets were launched from Lebanon during the day and said that a drone was intercepted over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. However, it didn’t report any damage or casualties.

In response to Hezbollah’s recent attacks, the IDF said it struck targets of the group in the southern Lebanese towns of Taybeh and Deir Seryan. Lebanese media didn’t report any casualties.

The clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out after the start of the war in Gaza last October, with Hezbollah and its allies carrying out attacks in support of the Strip.

So far, the border clashes have resulted in ten civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 15 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 500 people have been killed, including 330 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 90 civilians.

The Russian military has targeted and destroyed yet another American-made M142 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers of Kiev forces.

The HIMARS was reportedly destroyed in a forest near the settlement of Khotimlya in the Kharkiv direction. Video footage showing what appears to be a Iskander-M tactical quasi-ballistic missile hitting the launcher and accompanying vehicles surfaced online on June 20.


The United States has supplied Kiev forces with at least 39 HIMARS launchers since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. Germany promised to buy three more for Kiev forces earlier this year.

These launchers are typically armed with M30/M31 series GMLRS GPS-guided rockets, which have a range of more than 70 kilometers, or MGM-140 ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles with a range between 165 and 300 kilometers depending on the version.

The Russian military has already damaged or destroyed many of Ukraine’s HIMARS launchers using precision-guided weapons, like the Iskander-M. In addition, Russian air defense and electronic warfare means have significantly reduced the effectiveness of the system.

The Iskander-M has a range of nearly 500 kilometers. It can be armed with different conventional warheads, including a cluster munitions warhead, a fuel–air explosive enhanced-blast warhead, a high-explosive fragmentation warhead, an earth penetrator for bunker busting and an electromagnetic pulse device for anti-radar missions.

The highly-maneuverable missile is guided by a GLONASS-aided inertial navigation system. It can be also equipped with an optical seeker with a digitized scene-mapping area correlator system for terminal guidance.

The ongoing ground operations in Kharkiv allowed the Russian military to hunt down several HIMARS launchers which were recently brought into this direction by Kiev forces to attack Russian territory with permission from the U.S.

HEZBOLLAH SHARES FOOTAGE SHOWING DRONE STRIKE ON ISRAELI ‘DRONE DOME’ SYSTEM

Hezbollah’s Military Media released on June 20 video footage showing a recent strike on a Drone Dome counter-drone system of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

The system, which was deployed at the Metula border site, was struck by what appears to be na FPV suicide drone on June 14. The attack marked the first time Hezbollah is documented using such a weapon since the start of the ongoing confrontation with the IDF. It also shows that the Israeli system is not as effective as promoted.

Drone Dome was developed by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. The system is made up of different sensors including a RADA Electronic Industries RPS-42 radar, a CONTROP Precision Technologies imaging system and radio signal detectors.

The system costs a little over $3,2 million. Several systems of this type have been destroyed by Hezbollah since the beginning of the ongoing confrontation.

In the same video, an optical surveillance system installed on the main tower in Metula is seen being hit by an anti-tank guided missile.

Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks from Lebanon against the IDF in support of the Hamas Movement and other armed factions in the Gaza Strip after the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Palestinian enclave last October.

A large part of the group attacks targeted surveillance systems installed in border sites, significantly degrading the early warning capabilities of the IDF.

So far, the clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border have resulted in ten civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 15 IDF soldiers and reservists. U.S. TO REDIRECT NEWLY-PRODUCED PATRIOT AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS TO UKRAINE – REPORT

President Joe Biden’s administration plans to halt all open orders forMIM-104 Patriot long-range air defense systems and interceptor missiles and redirect supply to Ukraine until its defense needs are met, The Financial Times reported on June 20. .

The move could be announced by Washington as early as June 20, the report said, citing three people with knowledge of the decision.

Last year, Ukraine received two Patriot batteries and two launchers from Germany and another battery from the United States with two additional launchers donated by the Netherlands. Most of these systems have already been damaged or destroyed by the Russian military.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said recently that Ukraine needs 25 Patriots to cover the entire country, but his Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that he is for now focused on securing just seven systems to protect only the largest cities in the country.

In response to these Ukrainian demands, Germany confirmed last month that it will supply a third Patriot system to Kiev forces. Around the same time, Spain said that it would provide additional missiles to Kiev forces.

President Biden also made the decision earlier this month to supply an additional Patriot system to Ukraine. Furthermore, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that his country would deliver another 100 Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine in an initiative with Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway.

The additional Patriots Ukraine will get from the U.S. and Germany, which costs around $1.1 billion a system, will most likely meet the same fate as the ones supplied to Ukraine before. Washington and its allies know this, yet they continue to supply them in order to keep the Kiev regime at bay and prolong the conflict.
