Would you rather be managed by a sharing and caring EU?

A bit early to be on the happy juice Min, even for you.

It was a "best effort" contract...

However, AstraZeneca has not helped its case with what Brussels sees as indifference. In an interview with Italy’s La Repubblica newspaper, CEO Pascal Soriot effectively told the EU to calm down. Soriot said that his company only committed to meet demand to its “best effort” and added that the delays were due to startup issues in the European production sites. “Unfortunately, it’s really bad luck,” he said.

Because he is a waste of space. Not many Little Englanders in Scotland.

But let him go, everytime he goes up and opens his mouth Scots are more likely to vote with Nicola.

Would you rather be managed by a sharing and caring EU or a bunch of spoilt Eton boys and corrupt capitalists.

Erm, difficult one that!

LOL!

Peter Wookey 29 Jan 2021 8:54AMRemainers said the EU was an organisation for peace and harmony. It is in fact evil. The EU commission could have signed the deal with AZ 3 months earlier than it did, at the time the UK did. Had it done so, the production facilities in the EU would be up and running, as they are in the UK. There is no way that British citizens should pay the price of EU incompetence. The way this mafia organisation is treating a company that is selling them vaccines for no profit is shocking. It is driven purely by an attempt to deflect  blame for their ineptitude. We should review all our supplies of everything from the EU and ensure we protect ourselves from their blackmail and strong arm tactics. ... All the EU immigrants were very hard working too. Perhaps more to the point: people from Hong Kong are unlikely to take trades jobs and be too competitive for the Little Englander trader boneheads and they are more likely to vote Tory.

"On Wednesday, the EU’s health commissioner, Stella Kyriakides, rejected the drug maker’s argument and insisted that AstraZeneca should divert some of the doses made in the UK to make up for the shortfall. “We reject the logic of first come, first served. That may work in a butcher’s shop but not in contracts and not in our advanced purchase agreements."

Actually first come , first served is exactly how it works in the real world.

First one to sign the contract gets priority.

First one to iron out all the production problems and thus first to sign the contract is the first to get served.

If you mess about for 3-4 months AFTER the UK has signed a contract, why on earth should you expect to get served equally at the same time if you only sign 3-4 months down the line???

The logic of this idiot at the EU is classic socialism.
