Germans murdered 7 million Russians?

Nowhere near Stalin's murder of 35million+ russians, not chairman Mao's murdered of 100million+ Chinese.

Genocide tends to nearly always be the preserve of the LEFT....

History shows that.

WW2 finished a long time ago folks.

If you have any bitterness or hate towards the Germans I suggest you take it to the grave with you.

Those attitudes are for old fools and morons and have no place in 21st century Europe.

careful, if you're interested as to how WW1 came about I suggest reading 'Catastrophe' by Max Hastings. Essentially Germany had created a huge war machine, and careerists at the highest level wanted an excuse to try it out, in the belief that they could control the outcome. Russia provided the excuse, but of course the future is an unknown land, and bureaucracies with their vain chiefs have a tendency to trip over themselves. The book goes into great detail, of who did what and when, a handful of vain men in critical positions indulged their ambitions, and slaughtered millions in consequence, to say nothing of the later events that are linked directly back to the consequences of that war.

Live Brexit latest news: Michel Barnier says deal can be done this week if UK compromises on fish

Catherine Neilan, politics live editor
14 DECEMBER 2020 • 10:42AM

Michel Barnier has told EU ambassadors a Brexit deal can be reached this week if the two sides find a compromise on fisheries.

The EU's chief negotiator said that the UK had moved on the level playing field negotiations and that now the “architecture” of the system had to be agreed, including a possible “rebalancing mechanism”, which would redress unfair competition if the UK diverges too far from EU standards.

But British negotiators had dug their heels in on fish and there had been no substantial movement there, he added.

After a more upbeat briefing than usual, ambassadors peppered Mr Barnier with questions about the possible deal.

“No one asked anything about no deal and that was informed by the tone of Mr Barnier’s briefing,” a diplomatic source said, “he was a lot less gloomy than I was expecting.”

“If both sides can come out of their trenches on fish, Barnier said there could be a deal this week,” a source said.

British negotiators are said to be focusing on the “belts and braces” of the new system to ensure it did not leave Britain liable to legal action.

Nothing wrong with the Germans. They have a very dry sense of humour, which I like. They have looked after their engineers very well unlike the Tory government here who have no idea how (or don't want) to support industry.

We should be what they are, that's perhaps it - jealousy.

£ stirling soaring, says it all to those that understand.

Looks a deal is odds on now, if so well done Boris.
He used to attend the same school in Brussels as Ursula, when his dad was an EU. man.

At last the old school tie (or gym-slip) works in our favour.

So Ursula also spent time at the London School of Economics but was more into punk than studying.

At last, one of us, brothers(sisters) in arms.

Great news.

Germany teaming up with the UK, what a world beating combination.
Better late than never.

From the outside it looks Bojo has laid out his cards on the table...and EU are probably coming up with snippets of opportunist concessions...testing the reactions from UK...and they not getting any concessions from the UK...Bojo should up the tempo and say the 31 Dec deadline will not be extended just in case EU are working towards it...

"Have to agree with Min post 324504...people in some of those Far Eastern Countries are much more self disciplined..."

I've been saying such for years. Japan, for example, first sign of a cold, out come the masks. Hygiene, most of the time, vigorously policised by individuals - unless it's getting girls knickers out of vending machines!!

Asia is far more disciplined because, until recently, they had little compared to the West where waste is eye wateringly bad.

Cheshire Pete,

I tend not to bother following mainstream media anymore. Little point.
Certainly do not watch BBC, or Sky on the television(which I also hardly watch these days truth be told)

Ipsos MORI: A majority of 63 per cent of people say his government has done a bad job over leaving the European Union, while just 28 per cent say it has done it well.

The 28% didn't really understand the question about breakfast.
