Time will tell but I wonder if Macron has signed his own death warrant with his stance on fish.

French fishermen and related businesses could be looking at a lot of pain if we defend our waters.

He wasn't popular before all this.

Thing is, boys and girls, we're all (or most of us) on the same page with regard to trading with the rest of Europe, except that there's one thing in the way - the Brussels Eurocrats: career politicians on the gravy train standing firmly in the way of commerce.

Remember the wine lakes (careful won't, he's too young)? Remember the butter mountains? Remember the great plan for France to be the milk producer of Europe?

The architects of those grandiose social experiments worthy of the likes of Mao or Stalin, might have gone, but the building blocks are still there for the next bunch of visionaries.

Remoaners should not run away with the idea that Leavers are against the concept of a European free trade area, well I'm not, we're merely totally opposed to the politicians getting in the way of vibrant free trade all in the name of self-interest and self-advancement.

The question doesn't need to be asked ATM, so no answer is needed.

Best start focusing on what is important and that is making sure our borders at Dover etc.. are ready.

Fishermen is a sideshow for the idiots.

Minnie - "Personally, I would let them carry on for the time being."

Temporary fudge, Min, although it could be a reasonable solution BUT only if there were a deal worthy of the name on the horizon.

That doesn't answer the question, though.

Don't knock De Gaulle, xxxy! That fine man refused to have the UK in the EEC while he was alive, on the basis we were fundamentally incompatible. Shame he didn't live another 50 years!

Debbie Enerver from the FOS criticises banks for an increase in banks blaming customers for being victims of fraud.

FFS this is getting absolutely ridiculous, Banks are NOT a charity they should not be held accountable for the stupidity of people. This is the same as a pensioner having lost their pension in the street going back to the Government and saying you (Government) need to reimburse me my lost pension despite being stupid enough for putting my money into a pocket with a hole in it.
Or, going to your employer and requesting they reimburse the employee for the pay packet he lost when he was robbed at the pub.
People should take responsibility for their own actions.

Macron and mafia can blackmail us as long as they like and as long we are in talks with them... after that they can't do nothing. Unless we agree to a % on our fishing rights.
