04/12/2020 09:39 | I still believe that the fishing argument is a Trojan horse used by the French. No deal could suit them. Apart from potential financial business won from the UK they are the only aerospace industry capable of producing next generation fighter aircraft. British Aerospace, Rolls Royce have led these projects for decades, the Jaguar, Tornado, Typhoon and on the starting blocks, the Tempest are examples. In time they could re locate airbus wing production to France. Aerospace professionals are worried about this and see the danger. | careful

04/12/2020 09:29 | France have to recognise what are British waters and that is all there is to it. Having said that, the UK also have to realise that we do want a healthy relationship with our neighbours going forward and it is the Brexiters who are leaving, not the French. So some ratchet scheme is needed that waters down French interests over time and it will be up to the EU to manage that financially like we will have to manage our farmers all the same. | minerve 2
